I want to be a better child to my family and friends and not be so up tight and mean and looose it. I need to do something. It depends if the anger is at the same time every month or not...
if it is consider birth control, if not you might be bi-polar or depressed,

EDIT: I feel like you are really getting some bad answers here... I was put on birth control to control my PMSing. It was so bad that for 3 days straight I would just cry and scream at people. That's why I think you just need to determine the source of the problem. So when people are getting down on you for thinking birth control is some sort of miracle pill, well... sometimes it is.

If you are feeling depressed, that is a separate issue. You could talk to a Psychiatrist and that Doctor may be able to give you medication and help.

It might take care of your temper its different for different people, the doctor will ask you questions like are you sexually active and if your periods heavy and stuff like that he or she will also take your blood pressure and your weight and decide what pill is best for you. If you explain to your mother why you need to go on the pill then im sure she will understand and im sure the doctor will too.

No doctor would give you bc as a mood stabilizer. If you're considering medication to manage your anger issues, it is time to see a psychologist or family counselor who can prescribe something that is actually designed for mood regulation if needed.

Stop...stop...stop. You aren't PMSing...You have an anger management problem you need to seek professional help for. Don't even think about anything else until you get this under control with counseling and medication.

The best thing to do is to speak to your mum and your doctor about your concern that your anger issues may be related to your period. However, birth control is not necessarily a fix to PMT and it is therefore imperative that you explain why you are looking into the option of birth control. There is also the option your anger is completely unrelated, which further highlights the importance of speaking with your family doctor about your concerns, so they can look into treatment options that are appropriate.

I think BC is different for everyone. I was on it for almost 2 years strait and the only thing it did for me was cut back the period time and cramping. I still PMS'ed just as much and had my monthly mood swings. It might work differently for you though, so i would suggest talking to your mom, and then doctor about it. Even if it's hard to talk to your mom about these things, it's for a good cause, its not like your 13 and going out to have sex. Good luck with everything!

I don't think you would want to take BC pills for that. Maybe you could try using St. John's Wort, which naturally improves your mood. I, too have a bad temper and I started taking that and it seems to help a lot! You can get them at any drug store, and they are pretty cheap! If that doesn't work, maybe you could try seeing your doctor and asking him/her what they think. Perhaps the doc will put you on an anti depressant. Another idea is to talk to your mom about this and see if you could meet with a therapist. I had some bad things going on in my life, and got very angry all the time, and after talking to my therapist I felt a lot better and I didn't get so angry. Good luck!

not to sound mean, but there is no "miracle pill" that is going to take away your temper. birth control is not mood-altering.

birth control is meant to prevent pregnancy, and its use otherwise should be discussed with a doctor- using it for cramps etc.

perhaps, since you recognize the fact that you are "horrible", you could work to change it on your own.

besides which if you can't talk to your mom about it, there is absolutely no need for it. you obviously aren't ready for something like this if you don't even have the maturity to have an honest and open conversation with your mother to discuss BC as an option.

my GOD KID grow up, stay in school, study quit trying to grow up so fast! trust me u will regret it!! At 13 you have a lot to lookforward to, bottom line, PmS, deal with it, it's part of being a woman, just like being a man is dealing with crazy women, but we all love each other!!!!!!

not overly i dont think. it vary rearly does. go see a counciler about your temper you are a teenager your gonna go hay wire everyone does its just the hormones there is nothing wrong with you if you are still like this when you 20 then see a doctor but your just a typical teenage just find someone to talk to.

Could be you're just HORRIBLE...
