Period Questions?- Please Answer- women only!?!

Question: Ok I am 14 I have had my period for a year, when I first got it a year ago it was normal, then it skipped a few months (which I no is normal), then it got supper heavy (like almost a pad every 1 and a half) but I was playing in a volleyball turni. It was still heavy the next few months wear I didn't wanna go to school because I was afriad of leaks. Then throught July and Augest it was a nice period, meaning I could hang out with friends and be a normal teen. So when school started again it was normal like when I first got my period. And now it is march and still exstremly heavy, like I go through a pad every class, which is about 70 min. I am 14 I dont wanna go on birth control to control it. I am not quite sure what to do becaus it is effecting what I do in life.

i had this last year...so annoying isnt it! but i was too shy to tell anyone about it and it just died down and now i have my periods back to normal..kinda . i actually recomend u go to a doctor because they will sort your problem for you. good luck.

hmmm that is rely weird ask your doctor!

maybe ttry and use tampons they are less likely to leak

Tell your mom you want to see a gynecologist. It's a good idea to find out why you are bleeding so heavy because you can become anemic. They might put you on the pill to control it but there are other options as well depending on what is going on.

Talk to your mom about it. It may be time to be examined by a gynecologist to determine what is going on.

My advise to you is buy some tampons and use extra absorbant pads at the same time.

Of course, I would also talk to your mom, sister or aunt about how there periods are and what they do.

Good Luck!
