Very personal.....ok, My Vigina?!

Question: My vigina really hurts (inside of it) it has happened every night for the past 3-4 nights..i have never had my period before {im 12} and i try to put some cream on it and i am very uncomfortable talking to my dad about it.(my parents are divorced) and it stings...i cant explain the pain, it is getting really annoying...and i dont know how to cure it, or what it is!

Can someone please, please tell me one of the two, or both (perferrably both) of these questions??

call your mommy sweety...she will help you...don't use any foreign ointment down there...because that could be causing the pain....take a nice long hot bath...just relax and try washing down there with just a nice soft cloth...

you can email me and talk to me about this ok

good luck hun <3

Ask your doctor about it. Don't be embarrassed because that's what they're there for. They get these kinds of questions all the time. Also, don't put any cream on it that hasn't been prescribed to you for this specific problem.

Your body is getting ready for your periods to start. talk to school nurse, or favorite lady teacher, Call your mom. At night, tylenol pm would help. You need to stop stressing about this. There has been a lot of excellent advice here, but you need personal guidance and counseling . Best wishes.

Alright, as a male and a (soon-to-be) resident physician I can tell you this much.

Tell your father you have a pain in your private area that has been bothering you several days, and he'll take you to the doctor as soon as possible. I REALLY doubt he will, but if he asks questions about it, just tell him you are shy talking about it and that will be good enough.

Also, don't just go applying cream-- this could irritate the area and make things severely worse.

It could be a lot of different things but there is no way to know for sure without being seen by a doctor.

you could have a yeast infection which is very common in females but you should call your mother or just tell your father that you think its time you need to go get a check up say your school was talking about girls health and told you it was a good idea to get check ups early. he might take that into consideration and take you to the doctor and you can talk to your doctor privatley they deal with stuff like this all the time. also you can google your symptoms and you may be able to get and idea of whats going on

I know you probably don't want to hear this, but you need to see your doctor. I know you are embarrassed to talk to your dad, but you could just tell him that you're having some 'girl problems' and need to see the doctor.

I'm not sure if the pain you're having is actually in your vagina, or in your 'private area' in general (called the vulva). It sounds like you might have some type of vaginal infection... it could be a bacterial infection or a yeast infection. Have you noticed any weird discharge (like yellow or green stuff in your underwear)?

The other possibility is that you have a urinary tract infection (commonly referred to as a 'bladder infection'). If you feel like you always have to pee, but there isn't actually much pee when you do go, this may be the cause of your pain.

Either way, you need to see your doctor before it gets worse. He/she probably won't need to do an exam or anything, so don't worry about that. Usually based on your symptoms the doctor can figure out what's wrong and prescribe what's needed.

Oh, and I know it's weird to talk to your dad about personal stuff like this, but I guarantee you that he won't be as freaked out as you think he will be. He's been around at least 1 woman long enough to know about female problems :)

it could be a simple irritation from soap,or a yeast infection, when you say cream, what kind?Dont put just any cream, that can make it worse!Try baby rash cream, like Desitine,or A&D ointment. This is nothing to mess with, you are to young to have problems like that.Dont you have a friends mom or aunt you can talk to?if its still bothering you tomarrow...YOU NEED TO GO TO THE Dr.!

If it hurts on the inside you really need to tell your dad. I know it sucks but he'll understand more than you think. I don't want to scare you but this could be major.

You really need to talk to someone who can help you with this. Can you think of any female adults or teenagers who might be able to help you? Maybe like if your Dad has a girlfriend, if you have older brothers who have a girlfriend, or an older sister? Maybe you could call your mum and get her help. Maybe an aunt. Even a female school teacher that you know. Failing that, what might be a good idea is if you can go to a pharmacy, and get some advice from a female assistant there, they will be able to either give you something for it or help you find a doctor to go to.

get a towel run hot water on it and kinda wash it (or just hold it there for a minute)...it should work if not ask your dad if you could go see your doctor (gIve a good reason like ive been feeling dizzy lately its up to you)...hope you get better

See a gynecologist. Maybe a mouse got into your vagina. Probably not, but get it checked. It has happened just like a roach crawling into an ear.
