Can you lose extra weight while preggo?!

Question: I had a baby 5 months ago, but I am pregnant now YEA ME! But I didn't lose all the weight yet. I was wondering if it is possible to lose extra fat without harming the baby. I know that eating right is what a lot of people will say. I need to know of extra ways that most may not think or know of. And before YOU say it, don't give the lecture about how I shouldn't want to lose or how pregnant and fat is beautiful, I am sure that most preggos would love to make sure that they were in shape or not gaining EXTRA I repeat EXTRA weight.

Honestly the best thing to do is exercise. And i dont mean get out there and go for a run but do a light walk 3-4 times a week if you can. But if this is too strenuous on you then swimming in fantastic. Or even water aerobics. This puts no strain at all on you or the baby and it will keep you and your baby really healthy. And if you do it 4 times a week and eat well you should loose some baby weight no problems.

You shouldn't worry about losing weight, just try not to gain too much during the current pregnacy.

Your doctor would be the best person to talk about it though. People here really don't know as much as they think they do. Congrats, and take care of yourself and the little 'uns.

you can go to pregnant yoga classes, or hamas classes. These are exercises meant specifically for pregnant mothers. Also you can do walking, and stationary bike. You may want to check with your physician before you start doing anything more intense than that, though.

you should prolly talk to your doctor.
dont go asking on yahoo lol

Just stay fit - my wife walks alot and does alot of yoga, and she doesn't even look pregnant. We're telling people she's 5 months pregnant and they're like - no way!!! Congrats!!

Losing weight is probably not realistic while pregnant however you can tone you body.

Check with your doctor, first.

There are several low impact exercise classes such as yoga, and aquatics designed for pregnant women, there are also low impact mommy and me exercise classes available through most YMCA's so you can get you involved you little bundle of joy as well. Even going for lots of walks walk, great for baby as well as most babies are often soothed by a stroll in their prams.

As always eating healthy is always key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

yeah just eating really healthy i guess
my mom had my brother 2 months before she got preg with me (we are 11 months apart...to the day)

fat is not all that beautiful (ever see fight club). Do the basics, diet and exercise. You just had a baby, you probably did not have time lose weight in between the two..sit tight for the next four months, focus on your baby's health and your own, breastfeed, and watch your diet and try to exercise at this absolutely exciting time of your life, it goes by so fast!

You can still exercise when you're pregnant. There are special classes for pregnant women. Try asking your local gyms and have a look around for an expecting Mum's yoga class. It's a good idea to see the professionals about it they know where the limits are.

If I were you I would enjoy having an excuse to be big and eat whatever I want. You can always loose it after the baby.

eat healthy and walk every day. this is good for you and little bambino! don't worry about dieting while pregnant, that is not healthy.... just eat right and don't over eat. eat small meal 6 times a day, and plenty of fruits and veggies. good luck and congrats!!!
