Does it itch? Do you have any discharge with the redness? How long has it been going on? Redness comes from irritation or friction either from tight clothing, itching, sex. But redness can also come from allergies or infection. If it persists you need to see an OB/GYN

Unless it burns, hurts, itches, stings, any type of discomfort or strange odor you have nothing to worry about.
