Question about my weight, please give opinion?!


Question: hi i am 19 years old (as of this month). I am 5'3 1/2 and weigh 99/100 pounds. i am doing everything i can to gain weight but it is not helping!?!?! Am I meant to weigh that little or is something wrong? i feel too skinny and feel like i could be healthier if i gained about 5-10 pounds. any opinions on the matter? Thank you.

You need to gain some weight.
Don't eat fatty foods though. That will make you fat. Eat healthy and you can build muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat so you will actually weigh more. Eat your veggies and frut. You can have some fatty foods but don't overdue it. Try playing sports. Hope this helps!

i think ur meant to be that weight look at ur family is alot of the girls and guys skinney..if so that could be the reason ur 100 lbs

yes i think you should gain a littlw weight
but obv you were intended to be small so if you put on too much it may make you look stumpy
so dont eat junk food, just eat more healthy meals
and know when to stop

well first things first i am younger the same height and weigh more than you i have pictures of myself in my current question if you wanna see....................... but if you try to gain weight that could make you more unhealthy if you start to eat unhealthy foods to make yourself weigh more but i certianly wouldnt stop eating as much as you do now. hope this helps xoxoxo

have you been checked for hypertyroidism?
could be causing your inability to gain weight.

My suggestion is to stay healthy. Eat a healthy and balanced diet. Exercise regularly. If you happen to be that thin with no medical problems (speak with your doctor about your low weight concern to make sure there is no underlying problem) than you are meant to be at that weight. Nonetheless, as you get older, you will put some more pounds on.

Just eat normally. If you cant gain weight, then that is just how your body is. My best friend is 17, 5'0 and weighs like 98lbs, and she cant gain weight either. But dont eat tons of fatty foods. Maybe just increase your intake on food if you havent already. Good luck =]

if you're staying healty than your weight is normal.

According to this bmi calculator, you are underweight. You could eat more carbs and proteins to gain weight healthy. If you tried this already, try gaining muscle weight. Good luck to a healthier you.
