What can you expect from quitting the birth control pill?!

Question: I took my last pill 9 days into the pack. If I hadn't, my period would have been this week.
(Took last pill Monday 10th March, started new pack Sunday 2nd March. Had to quit because of mood swings)
When should I expect my period?

(I know it won't be definate, because I was on the pill for irregular periods, I just want to know what to expect, and when to expect my periods)

I was on the pill for years, and quit about two years ago. You should have finished the whole month of your birth control, excluding the sugar days though. Stopping in the middle can throw off your cycle even more. You may start a month from the last day you took your last pill, but honestly, when you stop taking birth control, who knows. You could start any time. For the most part though - after the first three months, my periods have been pretty regular. I start about the same time each month. THe only thing I noticed - for the first few months is that I felt strange....my hormones were changing a lot, so weird things were happening. My breasts were more sore, I was a little crampy off and on, and I would get hot for no reason. This is all normal due to your hormones changing. I feel the same way though - I feel MUCH better since being off the pill. I feel more energenic and less mood swings. Good luck.
