Vaginal discharge! Not like normal!?!

Question: I have 2 kids. When i was pregnant, both times, I had a lot of discharge. I stopped breastfeeding 10 months ago. Recently I started to have milk leak out, not colostum but yellowish milk. I also started have heavy white/yellowish discharge, with an odor. Never had odor before. I started taking vitamins recently which has me peeing neon yellow.Could it be from that.A few weeks ago I douched for the first time. Could I have an infection? What would cause my breast to produce milk again? Or is it my body getting rid of excess?/ Took 3 preg. tests last 3 months. Neg on all of them. Period is regular, no skipped ones. Please help. Oh yeah no med. insurance so can't go to Ob/Gyn. Thanks

Glands inside your vagina and cervix make small amounts of fluid. This fluid flows out of the vagina each day, carrying out old cells that have lined the vagina. This is your body's way of keeping your vagina healthy and clean. The discharge is usually clear or milky and doesn't smell bad.

The color and thickness of the discharge change with your monthly cycle. The discharge is thicker when you ovulate (when one of your ovaries releases an egg), when a woman is breastfeeding or when you're sexually excited.

Changes that may signal a problem include an increase in the amount of discharge, a change in the color or smell of the discharge, and irritation, itchiness or burning in or around your vagina. This is called vaginitis. A discharge that's stained with blood when you're not having your period could also be a sign of a problem. Some other types of infections such as yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis and trichomoniasis can also cause discharge that is usually accompanied by odor such as beer/yeast/fish.

I would recommend that if you have any of these signs or any concerns regarding this you consult with your doctor for a proper diagnosis and for proper treatment should you have anything other than just a normal vaginal discharge.

Good luck :)

It is normal to continue lactating after you have stopped breast feeding. Some women continue to lactate for years.
Concerning the discharge...you could have a yeast infection. You can go to planned parenthood...they will see you based on your income. There are other free clinics if you don't like planned parenthood because of beliefs, etc.
I hope this helps!

Sorry, but you have too many things going on to expect good advice from someone on YA. You need to bite the bullet and go to the doc.

just simple rubbing of your bra to your nipples can cause the breasts to start milking. use a bigger bra that would not touch your nipples. stop taking your vitamins and see if the odor of your discharge goes away. If yes, then the cause was your vitamins (highly unlikely) drink lots of cranberry juice to clear out the pee line. Douche should make you clean not infected. how is your sexual life? anyone new? or has your partner cheated on you? he maybe was/is with someone else and has given you the STD from somebody else to you. Chlamydia seems most likely. Odor from vagina usually means a sexually transmitted disease. chlamydia is the most common STD. easily treatable with few pills.

You should buy one of those vaginal screening kits they sell. It'll tell you if you have a yeast infection. Douching probably is what has caused the discharge because that messes with the bacteria down there. Not sure about the milk. Not probably a problem unless it goes on for a long time.
