Answers: help how do you insert a tampon whenever i try it hurts so bad

Make sure that when you put it in your in the middle of your period. Follow the instructions and make sure you push it in quite far (it can't get lost), it'l stop hurting once it's nice nd in. It might take a few tryes to get used to it. It's totally worth it! =]

don't use them if it hurts!

Use Tampax and lubricate end also read instructions.

everytime you try to put them in, wait a little while before trying again because your vagina will get very dry other wise which makes it harder to put the tampon in. This could also cause pain.

use plastic applicators they are more comfortable

make sure you rae putting them in the smae direction as your vagina (straight) becuase if they are crooked they will feel very odd and cometimes hurt like heck.

dont worry this gets easier with practice (i went through 2 boxes of tampons before figuring out how to put on in, but now im a pro =)

good luck =)

What brand are you using? I would suggest buying tampax pearl in the smallest size possible (the lightest flow ones) or any tampon with a plastic applicator. The cardboard ones can be very uncomfortable. Alternatively, you could try those tiny OB tampons without the applicator.

Also, make sure you are crouching (like over the toilet) and don't tense up. Relax. If you don't insert it all the way you might cause pain too, so try to get it up there as far as possible (Sorry to be vulgar).

Have you had your period for a long time? I have heard of a lot of people who experience pain when the first try to put tampons in if they have just gotten their period, but after a while it will get better.
