Is Lanacane suitable for use on the vulva?!
Question: I've got thrush, from synthetic underwear and tight clothes.
I've had no form of sexual contact.
I'm itchy, and this stuff looks like it might work quite well.
I'm currently using Sudocrem, and Savlon - should i just persist with one of these?
I haven't got any Canesten.
Please help!

You would be better off with canesten, but you can use lanacane, it contains benzocaine, which aneasthetises the skin cells so stops them itching. Its only recommended for the outer vagina though, do not go shoving it up inside too much.
If it is thrush, you would be much better of with canesten as it contains the ingredient clotrimazol which is an anti-fungal. It would be much better at actually getting rid of the thrush, the lanacane will just mask the itchinss but wont sort the thrush.
none of them (excet canestan) will work for thrush. Lanacane might numb sensation and stop itch a bit.
Plain yoghurt (bio if possible, but normal plain is OK) is good for thrush. Use a lilet or similar to apply. It works.
You require Canesten cream and one off oral tablet to get rid of thrush properly. Lanacane might subdue the itch but it wont rid you of the problem.
