this happens to me too sometimes. some breakthrough bleeding is normal. but my doctor also said that vitamin c discrepancies cause a small estrogen spike (like me being sick and taking extra vitamin c, then stopping when i didn't feel sick). so your hormones are a little messed up until you get the balance back.
My gynecologist says it's normal to have a little breakthrough bleeding every once in a while. As long as it isn't prolonged and it doesn't occur too often. How long have you been on the pills? If you've only been taking them a few months your body could still be regulating itself and getting used to the hormones.
