Fibroids any advice?!
Question: I have fibroids 1 big one and some sml clusters, the pain i get and heavy bleeding is not good, i have tablets from dr but no joy so i have been ref to gyne. its getting me down every mnth and bleed inbetween. What can the gyne do to get rid of these or help reduce bleed and pain. Any help/advice would be great.

If you have no symptoms to mild symptoms they will treat you with either an over the coutner painkiller or a very mild prescription pain killer. They also have some medicines that will actually decrease the size of the fibroids if you are having symptoms. Additionally, with severe symptoms they can be surgically removed. There is also something else, they can cut off the blood supply to the uterus until the fibroids shrink. This has a much shorter recovery time than surgery.
