My friend smokes weed....EVERY DAY. I'm not kidding. Is there hope? I worry !

Question: My friend is 22. She started smoking cigarettes and weed at 13 years old. She smokes EVERY DAY. I'm not kidding. She smokes weed every day of the week, and has been for the past 9 years. When she wakes up she smokes weed. She says she has to smoke weed b4 she has sex. She even drives around town after smoking. I don't know how she does it. How do I convince her to stop? How do I convince her that she needs serious help. Is there anything I can show her to scare her into quitting. She thinks that since she's not doing "harder" drugs, then her bahavior is justified b/c weed is just a plant.

The bad thing about all this is that she is so fricking pretty. She models and has a perfect hourglass figure. She's got to know that this stuff will eventually do some damage, assuming it hasn't done irrevocable damage already.

Can someone point me to a website or share some advice for her. I will force her to read the responses if you guys help.

nope there isnt any hope.
if she hasn't stopped, she won't.

stoners are idiots in two ways. one, they waste their lives
just because they think it's fun. two, they think it's healthy
because it's a plant.

so is poison berries, but obviously it's not very good to eat those. report her to the police. that is illegal and it is the ONLY way to stop her.

she doesn't care what you think, trust me...i tried to tell one of my old best friends that she's really hurting herself...she's addicted and we're only seniors in high school and it's realyl sad people do that to themselves at a young age. i stopped being her friend because i hated to look at her. act like she's invisible when i pass her in the hallways or when i have to sit by her in english.

call the cops. i didn't bother to do tha to my old friend, she aint worth it. weed is NOT healthy it is NOT safe.

it corrupts the brain chemicals. that's WHY you get high off of it. here's one thing that should knock some sense into her, it is illegal!! why doesn't any stoner care about that?

1 blunt=5-10 cigarettes, so it does a lottt more damage to the lungs. it CAN cause depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, schizophrenia and panic attacks.

trust me dude, she needs to get the authorities after her ***.

If you pray about it, anythings posible

WEED CANT HURT U I DONT CARE WAT PEOPLE SAY BUT TRY AND GET HER TO QUIT CIGGERETSS CUZ THEY CAN MAKE U AGE AND GIVE U CANCER

unfortunately both pot and cigs have an enormous amount of tar in them and WILL cause bad health problems. I personally love the pot, but I also know i'll have to quit when real life (a job, not college) starts. My grandmother smoked for many years and she recently died of lung cancer and COPD which left her basically drowning in her own body. Ask your friend how that sounds.

i hate to say it, but i don't think she'll listen to you until she gets in trouble by the law or hits rock bottom. and even then ...

drugs can really mess with a person's mind, it's most likely she has a long road ahead of her. since she doesn't think it's wrong, she has to get rid of the addiction and her mindset, which takes a lot of time, if she's willing to change.
