It is not your doctor's decision. It is your decision. You have to determine if that is what you really want. Doctors are not GOD's and do not understand what makes you healthy. They treat symptoms and are generally limited to drugs and surgery as their only solutions to health problems. They have only a few hours of nutrition taught in medical school and what they learn is limited to what dietitians are taught and not how the body really works in regard to nutrition. If you are having problems with pregnancy, I suggest you go to a Certified Nutritional Therapist that can help you become healthy by testing you for specific nutritional deficiencies and to recommend diets and supplements specific to your body.

You may find your complications and problems you are having is due to things you can change. After you have determined that there is nothing you can do or you have made the changes and your health has greatly improved, then make up your mind in regard to the sterilization issue.

good luck to you

well, he can not tell you that you can not do so, but he might will not encourage you to do it. You are still young, in fact very young.

I don't think he will let you. I know someone who had to have 3 kids, and I think was in her late twenties before he let her be sterilised

Naturally, you will want to consult your GP but you may also like to talk to 'Marie Stopes' - a specialist organisation dealing with sexual/reproductive issues. They are very well informed and very helpful. Link below.

so long as its ant you want your gp should do it.....its hysterectomy that gp's dont like to do on young women......but he should let you be sterilised......especially if he knows what you have already been through.....good luck

We had this experience. My wife's 2 pregnancies were very difficult so she had her tubes tied.
Your doctor has no right to refuse you and if s/he does refuse, then find another specialist who will do. it. The doctor knows of your problems and you should state that you are afraid for your life if you do not get it done. Then put in a couple of hints of lawsuits if you get pregnant accidently and perhaps the doctor will come around.
We have 2 lovely girls in their 30s now and we are happy we did it.

you are still young your doctor would not agree to it. I know hoe you feel though,i got my tubes done a few year now and believe me i have suffered with really painful and heavy periods since, also there is times i regret it,i had a few miscarriages and thats the reason i got mine done, but there are times that i would of loved to have another child....you must think relly hard remember you are still so young...
