You might just have very sensative skin. I have that problem too. What I do is just make sure I don't shave sensative regions too often. I can really only shave my underarms every other day to avoid skin irritation and my vagina about once a week or so. I also moisturize that area immediately after my shower... use something natural and unscented, like lubriderm. Make sure your razor is not too old! That can cause nicks. If you're doing all of these things and you still notice your area is irritated I would try something other than shaving such as waxing, or using products like Nair or Veet. It's whatever works for you. And btw... it's not gross, it's very natural!

I may be a male, though, shaving in the shower helps out, and also shaving up(actually it is to have a closer cut..though that is up to you). possibly aftershave or a toner?

use alot of shaving creme and a new razor blade

Duh, don't shave.

use shave gel, a sharp razor (these bumps usually come from dull razors), and exfoliate immediately after you shave (like with a loofah). they still might come but it helps.

i did that to the bumps will go away in a cauple of days and the bumps may bleed also you may be a little sencitice down there

10 pts pleaze!

Most guys like it when you shave down there.
BE proud

dont shave up, shave down.
consider stopping shaving, and trimming with a trimmer instead.

The absolute best way to shave down there, is too use Neosporin as the shaving cream. I absolutely guarantee NO bumps.

For the dipshit that gave me the thumbs down, guess where I got that tip from, Jenna Jameson's autobiography. You know, Jenna Jameson, The ultra-famous pornstar...dipshit.

Shave in the shower, the steam will open your pores. Always use shaving cream and a sharp razor. Don't press too hard, and shave in the direction that the hair grows in, not against it.

ok these bumps are most likely ingrown hair or just irritation of the skin, just try using baby powder on them and u can even buy some products at the store for this if u want, just some creme for the bikini zone. the bumps are caused by the razor cuz ur skin down there is very sensitive....

i suggest using nair or veet hair remover...its a creme u put on ur skin and u wipe off after a couple mins and it removes hair...much better in my opinion, i like veet with the bladeless razor.

also u culd try a electric razor, like the kind guys use for face hair...it may not give a real close shave but its better than getting all the itch and bumps, i often use one and it works just fine =]!

Neosporin helps them go away :)

I've heard that if you use hair conditioner instead of shaving cream it helps the hair soften making it easier to cut and actually works better as lubricant.

Apply a vitamin E lotion to the skin afterwards too.

Your skin might be more sensitive than others.

Try an electric shaver. Use a cheap Braun, not the fancy ones with the cleaning system that are double the price.

Shave one area and go to another area. Give the first one some time for the hairs to stand up again, then shave the first area a second time.

Repeat until you cannot feel any hair with your finger tips. This entire procedure may take 10-15 mins, not more.

It helps when you poke your fingers into the skin making a bump of your skin around the fingers. This makes the hairs go out a little more and the shave will be smoother.

well if its the first time its gonna happen its really sucks

i just trim it,wouldn't shave unless i was a stripper, or for swim suit

I have heard that since the hair is generally coarser down there that women should be using either a single or double bladed razor to shave since it decreases the amount of irritation due to a razor going over the same spot multiple times. I have actually stopped shaving because of that since the bumps were less appealing than having hair down there in the first place. I wax. It is painful but eventually you get used to it. Also try depilatory creams, they smell but they work and you don't get razor bumps caused by irritation or ingrown hairs yuck!

hope this helps

get waxed...it's not as bad at you think and it doesn't itch when it grows back in.

they could be ingrown hairs. when shaving, shave in the direction of the hair.

When you are shaving, dont shave against the hair, that causes irriation and ingrown hairs.
Aslo, try useing condishioner instead of soap/shaving cream.

And make sure you are useing a sharp razor..

Or you could just get a wax.

Go to walgreens and buy a product called " magic powder " it's in the mens shaving section. It says its for facial hair, but trust me, this stuff works great for the down below area and doesn't cause breaks outs. Make sure you follow the directions and you'll be happy with the results. This product is used by many adult movie actresses that need to have a pleasent appearance.

Use a fresh razor and go with the grain also dont over do it as u will b shaving the skin and making it worse.
Try aloe vera after it may help
