What's wrong with me? Am I a gremlin or what?!

Question: I'm being absolutely serious. Something happens to me every evening around 6pm. I feel like one of those gremlin things. First I notice my throat tightening up, then my face gets red and hot. I have a hard time swallowing and I get really irritable. Sometimes my skin gets itchy on my face and neck. This has been going on since December. It started the day before my 31st birthday. Is this what happens when you hit 31?lol! Seriously though, what could this be? I am 10 weeks pregnant now and it's still happening. I told my doctor and she blew it off as nothing just as I thought she would. She told me to change my schedule around and see what happens. She said "it's all in my head." I think that those words are dangerous. It's NOT all in my head. I know what I'm feeling and I'm feeling hot and irritable at the same time every single night! If you have any clue as to what this may be, please share! Thank you all for your input in advance! :)

Are you taking any supplements?

Because that sounds to me like either an allergic reaction, or a reaction to Niacin.
Try stopping all your vitamins and supplements for a week and see what happens.
Also, pay attention to what you're eating or drinking before then.
It could also be an allergy to something you're eating.
Wheat and dairy products are common ones.

yep, an obvious case of gremlinitis. just kidding your preggo, weird stuff is happening to your body. when i was pregnant i had this overwhelming urge to eat "comet" cleaner.

dont get wet and dont eat after midnight

It sounds serious. Get a second opinion and see another doctor

This may be hormone changes or perhaps if it happened a few times you are anticipating it happening again which causes a little panic. Change into something cool to wear and get into an activity at this time to see if it subsides.
I think it was a bit shallow for your doctor to answer you like this so perhaps you should change to another one.

Probably just your hormones going a little crazy. Your body is getting used to being pregnant and rebelling a little. It'll probably stop when you get to your second trimester. If not, check back with the doctor and tell her that you are really uncomfortable with this and can she recommend something to help.

do you have allergies? sometimes these are worse at night.

maybe this is your baby's scxhedule inside your tummy. Everytime he/she does something, at the same time of the day, your body reacts to it.

if it continues, make a log, and take pictures if you can. show your doctor to help believe you. congrats on your baby!

I think you may be intolerant of something you either eat or drink at that time of the day.

Or may be you have just come home from work and passed through a suburb that has a bad smell about it relating to an industrial site nearby. Whenever I drive on a particular 2 kilometre stretch of the freeway in my city I get the same thing and there is a funny smell in that area as well. It does seem strange that I only get this sensation when driving through that area on Thursday and Friday morning. But not when someone else says the same thing.
