If the doctor examined you and checked your urine, and if you don't have any pain or discharge, I think you can trust nothing is wrong. If you start to have pain or smelly discharge, go back to the doctor. If you had actual pelvic inflammatory disease, you'd have cramps and a discharge from the cervix.
Ordinarily girls and women have annual exams, so you can ask for something more thorough then (e.g., a culture of vaginal discharge, etc.). I don't think you should worry about the dog.

I think you should see a gynocologist. just my opinion but I think the doctors should be ok, you might be paranoid but if your really having doubts get a 2nd opinion it can't hurt.
