It sounds like you are getting cramps in your thighs, which is not usual, but not unusual either. You will need to stock up on some Teen Mydol as it is the best for cramps, bloating, irritability, headache and backaches during your cycle. You can get a heating pad and lay it across your tummy and take some Motrin or Advil for now for the cramps and headache. I am sorry you are having such pain but know that as life goes on it should ease up. Drink a nice cup of herbal tea too, that will help soothe you in your mind and body, it really will help. You need to start a ritual for your self now. Find what works the best for your cramps and such, what foods or liquids soothe your mind, if you like to take a hot bath or use a heating pad and what makes you relax - reading, doing a puzzle, whatever - and start doing these things each month when you start your cycle. A ritual will help to ease you too as you train your body and mind that when you do these things the pain will ease.

Take advils or something like that.

Pamprin or Midol!!!! yEA!!!

take a warm bath or a heating pad and go laydown and relax. I also do some yoga stretches to help relieve cramps. you will get your own little tricks with time.

when you start your period, your stomach will hurt, if you exercise every day, your period will end earlier. if you don't feel comfortable wearing your pad, get used to it. =]

eat bananas
and ohmygo ,your naht suppoded to use pads fer the first onee !

your havung cramps you get them when you get your period it sucks

Take a motrin. They help headaches. As for the thigh thing, thats just something that comes along with a period. Take a hot bath or lay on your bed and watch some T.V. Also, watching fish is relaxing. If you don't have any, just look it up on YouTube. Watch other peoples fish! LOL

Take two Motrin or Advil (Ibuprofen). GYN Dr.s have been prescribing them for menstrual pain for years- but lucky you- now you can just buy them! Also make yourself a cup of tea, stay warm and RELAX. It is just a period. They get easier as you get a bit older. The first one is the worst. Make sure your change the pad when it gets too wet feeling ( at least every 8 hours even if it doesnt feel wet) and keep a spare one in your purse so you don't get stranded somewhere with a "personal problem". Hang in there, girlfriend. We all get them.

periods sometimes comes with headaches but pain in the thigh is not really normal

Get some midol and take a warm bath. There is only one HORRIBLE day then the rest just kinda suck. Good luck. Turn to mommy for questions not the public sweetie. There are perverts on here looking for questions like this and it worries me.

dont take anypills and sleep it out pills can make it worst!!! believe me it'll get worst if you take pills

Go grab yourself some Pamprin, Midol, or Advil... that will help ease with the pain and cramping. Heat pad also works great.

When you're on your period make sure you bathe daily, keep yourself nice and clean. When I'm on my period, I change my pad every time I go to the bathroom. Just to make sure I don't have any accidents. I would reccommend you using tampons at some point... no rush though. Congrats!

Don't worry sweetie, its normal. Some women experience abdominal discomfort, get aches and pains in their legs and back too...It usually only lasts the first couple of days. No worries...take a tylenol or advil and just wait it out. Sometimes exercise can help with the aches and pains too.

go grab a hot water bottle and sprawl out into a big comfy bed with a fluffy pillow. if your mom is home, see if she will let you take a midol or other cramp medicine. even Tylenol or a back and body medicine can help.

if u are up to it, take a walk or do some stretches.
bananas have potassium so they r good.

*best of luck!*

Take two acetominophen, and make a hot water bottle, get a cool damp rag ... but the rag on your forehead and put the water bottle on your belly ... then lay so your thigh is also near the warmth. Cover up, turn out the lights and rest until your mom comes home. The pain in your thigh is because you are tense over your period starting ... you NEED TO RELAX. Everything is FINE, and I would like to WELCOME you to WOMANHOOD. Now be a good girl and go lie down and rest until your mom comes home.

just relax, what you are experincing is normal. If you have a headache, try taking some aspirin and lay down, and take a nap if you are feelin tired that should help. :)

Don't worry, it's normal! Usually the cramps are isolated to your abdomen, but sometimes it can throb in the upper thigh as well. If it's ok with your parents, you should take 2 advil/ibuprofen, and drink a lot of water. It should ease the pain almost completely, and of course get rid of your headache. Most women only suffer from cramps/headaches/bloating for the first 2 days of their period. Good luck!

that's kinda what you have to deal with sorry to tell you. it's called cramps. i'd try taking a ib profin (asprin). it will help with the pain. if you want to be able to move more freely or change less often you should think about tampons. you might also feel really hot, that's fatigue. i know none of this sounds good or fun. but it's a part of life and if your body didn't do it you could get sick and you might have trouble having kids. hope i helped, GOOD LUCK! :) :P

Welcome to womanhood....I'm sorry you feel so bad but many girls have terrible cramps and it can also radiate into your thighs and buttocks. Take some ibuprofen, it really helps. If you have a heating pad, use that or heat you up a towel (damp) in the microwave and place on the area that hurts. You will be fine.

congrats!!! you've made it to womanhood!!!! now the truly hard part begins!! the best thing i can recommend for cramps, which is happening in your hips, and it will go to your lower back and stomach, is get a hot washclothe, lay it over your stomach or back, as hot as you can stand it, take a couple midol, which will help with both your headache and cramps...then just lay down with some icecream, and put in a good movie...and try to relax!!!

take some Motrin or Tylenol and get a hot water bottle

also if it hurts bad enough sit under a hot shower you will feel much cleaner

welcome to womanhood if you have any questions you can IM me Ive unfortunately had a period for seven years!! it sucks honey i know but hang in there

AHHH! The infamous cramps that come along with that time of the month. Some people get cramps more than others, but i would look for the Midol in your mom's medicine cabinet and try to RELAX. Tea and a heating pad would be helpful too! Good luck and hopefully you can over come those devilish cramps

don't worry you won't 'die forever'
just relax, you've just started yoUr period...your like...a woman now! congrats babe :P
pain in ur thighs is 100% normal, take some parecetemol if it really hurts. Ask your mum first though she might have some special remedes:)

This is normal, it happens, don't worry. Take aspirin drink allot of water and you'll be fine. Remember to change your pad regularly =)

you will die forever.
