What if I didn't take the provera?!
Question: So, I'm have menstration issues this month and my doctor gave me provera to help my period start. I was curious if anyone has been given this but didn't take it. I mean this may be dumb but I don't want to have a period this month if I don't need to. So would it be bad if I just didn't take it and wait for nature to bring on my period?

Well I myself am on provera for my period because I will not have one on my own. It will not "hurt" you to miss a month but don't make this a habit.. Long term without a period has been known to cause cancer. I, myself, can't take it every month because my uterus doesn't thicken enough in between each month to actually have a period so I have to wait every 2-3 months before I take my provera.. So, if there is a reason you want to skip a month then I wouldn't see a problem with it but like I said do not make this a habit..
umm i dont think that is a good idea i think you should do what the doctor tells you too!
