Big period problem. can any girls help?!
Question: in my island tampons are not available. only cheap pads. i have to stay at school from 12 oclock to 6 pm. to go to toilet to change the pad, i cant carry a handbag, it will be too obvious, what i used to do last year was to put a pad in my shoes, but thats very uncomfortable. any advices?

No pockets in your uniform? Maybe tuck a pad in your waist band? Maybe ask another girl from school what she does to carry her pads. If the only thing stopping you from carrying a hand bag with you to the restroom is embarassment that people will know your menstruating, relax. First of all being on your period is a very normal, healthy thing, and not something to be shameful of. Second most people won't care if you are carrying a handbag and what it might mean. It really only seems like a big deal because you are aware of why you're carrying it. Good luck!

Yes, carry one in each shoe instead of just one shoe so that you don't limp.

talk to your school nurse and see if you can buy a package of pads and leave them in her office. when you need to change it, ask your teacher if you can go to the restroom, but go to the nurse first and get a pad.
Why not put it in a purse? That doesn't make it obvious because there is other stuff in your purse. You cood put it in your pocket or jacket pocket.
if they are thin an lightweight, they can usually go in our pocket and are unnoticeable. do you have a backpack? those work too. you can put it in a secret little pocket and nobody will ever know it is there.
Discreetly tuck a pad into the waistband of your pants before heading to the bathroom.
Then you can cover it with your shirt.
Other than that I can only tell you to carry your purse to the bathroom with you.
do you carry a binder, put it in the way back or maby in your back pocket. I wonder if you can buy tamons online. lol I bet you can lol

Why can't you carry a handbag, though? Who's to say you are carrying your purse JUST for this reason? There could be a lot of other things in your purse besides a pad.
If you have a sweatshirt then slip it up your sleeve, or put it in a pocket.

Carry a hand bag and don't worry if other school mates know you are on your period. EVERY girl has to have her monthly periods and there is NOTHING to be shy or embarrassed about. Part of growing up is realizing you don't have to live up to other people's standards. You can be yourself and do what has to be done without shame. Please be more confident in yourself because you are a women now and very lovely inside and out.
