Mid cycle bleeding and other symptoms?!

Question: Ok to start off I have been begging her to see a doctor for a weeks now and she has gone but she is stubborn and only gives the doctor bits and pieces of the information, so they say she is fine. Before she went on spring break she went on her period, and she is on birth control, i dont know the name of it. When she was on break she awoke one morning and realized she took two pills the night before, so she kept taking the pills as normal. While she was there she was throwing up almost everynight, and was almost always nautious. I figured it was from all the drinking and maybe extra hormones from the pills. However when she got back she began having vaginal bleeding, this is almost 1 1/2 to 2 weeks after her period. Also for about a week after she got back from break she would throw up alot of what she ate sober. And this bleeding has lasted like 12 days and it is usually after sex. The only thing i can think of is eptopic pregnancy, but since she wont see a doctor I have no idea

Eptopic pregnancy is not the only thing that could be going on here. If she skipped or doubled up on her pills, she may have disrupted her cycle. The vomitting could be related to hormones or just a viral illness that has nothing to do with her menstrual cycle.

Midcycle bleeding is normal. If the bleeding only happens after sex, then she could be suffering from vaginal dryness. It is also normal to have a temporary disruption in the cycle but it should be monitored because irratic bleeding that lasts more than 2 or 3 cycles should be evaluated by a doctor.

Your girlfriend should tell the doctor everything that is going on. Most likely it is nothing serious like cancer or eptopic pregnancy but it should be evaluated.

By the way contrary to what the other answer says, according to the Mayo Clinic, taking birth control while pregnant is not dangerous. However, if pregnancy is confirmed the pill should be stopped.

I am assuming this is your girlfriend or a friend? I would make her appt for her, and go to the doctors with her. This is not right, and could be highly dangerous. I don't want to scare you, but you don't procrastinate with things like this. This could cause her to not ever ever have children. Please tell her, she "MUST" take care of her body, because she is the only one who can.

An eptopic pregnancy results when the fertilized egg doesn't make it out of the fallopian tubes and as it grows, eventually causes the tube to rupture. This is possible, not an unlikely scenario.

It is possible that she is actually pregnant. In which case, the hormones from BC are dangerous to continue taking. They may cause the uterus to miscarry the baby, but more likely it can cause birth defects.

Or, she could just be taking a while to get used to the BC. If she just started taking it, or recently switched to a different brand, this could be the cause.

In any case, she definitely needs to see a doctor, because something is not working the way it is supposed to. And if it keeps up, she could get very very sick.

It could also be a pelvic infection. You could do a Shang-hai move. Ask her out then after dinner basically kidnap her to the doctors. You could go see her doctor by yourself. Inform the Doc about your concerns and ask them to call her in because of a weird test result. The Doctor of course will not tell you anything, including that she is even a patient of theirs. But you might go in and say " I know my girlfriend is your patient and these are my concerns about her health. I know she doesn't inform you of all her symptoms. I am very concerned something is really wrong. I am hoping you could some how re examine her by inviting her back in for additional tests, etc. I understand you can't discuss anything with me. I also understand that my visiting you may not change anything, but I have to try." Expect the doctor to basically say "Thats very interesting thank you Mister Smith, havbe a nice day." Because the doctor cannot let you know ANYTHING about their patients. And if the doctor lets your girl know, she may be very pissed and not talk to you again. Also, you may not be told by her all of what the doctor said. Like maybe she has cancer and doesn't want to tell you.
