If you're over 21, do you STILL have acne?!

Question: I'm 24 & I still get it. Not that much though, but it gets worse around 2 weeks before my menstrual cycle starts.

Yup! I personally get little whiteheads on my cheeks and near my jaw. Funny, I use to get them in the middle of my cheeks, chin, nose, and forehead. I also have that problem with my period as well. I'm okay with very little acne for about one week. Then I feel the oil on my face getting thicker and harder to keep at bay, and if I'm stressing right before my period, I have huge one's just spring up all over the place. The week before my period is the worst, with new zits developing everyday and night. It sucks!

I just try to a scrub cleanser and a moisturizer that's oil-free. As crazy as it sounds, the moisturizer blocks the pores from over-producing too much oil to keep it supple and smooth, and so not as much oil is produced. Try this first, and then if your looking for more in-depth help, try visiting a dermatologist, or try some micro-dermibrasion kits, or salons that do this. My mom recommended them to me, and they actually help take a small layer of skin off each time that you use it. It's a little harsh, so they recommend mosturizing, but it works to clear up all the dead skin cells and close the pores. I'm sure you know this already.

Hope you feel better knowing your not the only one going through this.

I still get pimples before my period. I'm on the pill now and it has really helped calm them.

I still have a little bit and I'm almost 21..not to the point where it's super noticeable though..I do know in some people it just stays for years and years..I've heard of people who get it at like 20 and still have it at 40...just drink a lot of water, stay away from candy, sugar and fatty foods..that by itself helps clear it up comepletely...A period just complicates it..but i'm sure it'll go away within a few years.

OMG, I'm twice your age and, yeah, still get an outbreak now and then!!

Like you, about 2 weeks before my cycle but also if I eat too much chocolate. Don't ask me why.

It's embarrassing to still have this problem at my age though, as my Mom reminds me, oily skin is good because I'm not nearly as wrinkled as most of my friends. They look 5 to 10 years older than me although we're the same age.

My boyfriend is 27 and he has it. It's called "adult acne." My 29 year old sister has it, too. She says Aveda products really help, but it's soooo expensive. Since I've been on birth control I haven't really had any pimples. There was one month I stopped taking it and I really broke out badly.

I'm 22 but I never had it, an exception sometimes before my period (one or two pimples). But I have a secret ;-) More SEX! It's working!

Yes, monthly, and when the weather is hotter, and more humid, my skin is oilier.

But, I must say, I love my skin, I don't look my age YET, and when I do, I'll make out my last will and testament.

34 and oily.
