I got my first HPV shot and I haven't gotten my... (Girls only)?!

Question: I'm 18 and I'm abstinent (not sexually active). I had my first HPV shot a week or two ago. My last period was on February 24th. I have never had a period that has delayed so long as it has this month. I haven't gotten my period yet and I get my period every month. Does this have anything to do with the hpv shot I got ?

No, the HPV shot just injects weakened viruses into your bloodstream. It does not actually interact with your reproductive system at all.

As for not getting your period, don't worry for now. Women are late sometimes for no reason. Stress can delay a period, so take some down time (rent a movie, take a hot bath, etc.) Be sure to eat lots of iron (red meat, leafy green vegetables, etc.) to make sure that you are able to bleed.

If you still do not have a period for another month, however, go and see your doctor.

I hope I helped!

noo

nahh
i got all three and nothing happened to me...

those things hurt though omg. lol.

Nope..probably just stress causing it to be off.

mmm probably not but when I got the shot (have all three now) my periods started to come late. So it could be just you, stress, and other things that happen in our life. I truly do not know but mine are normal now so........it is probably not but you can always as your doctor and see what it causing it and try to fix the problem
