Am I having hot flashes?!

Question: I had a partial hysterectomy last october, and in the past few
weeks, I have felt strange. I get a really hot feelings, like I'm
burning up, it happens alot but I'm not sweating. Is this the
start of hot flashes or something else?

Yep, sounds like hot flashes. I've gotten them for years, before and after my partial hysterectomy. It happens when your estrogen suddenly drops, it feels like someone cranks up the heat and you might not sweat. You might get nightsweats too, but they just haven't gotten to where you notice them.

Mine seem to come in streaks, I'll go a while without them and then have a couple months of having them a lot. They are annoying but I've gotten used to it :]

could be

Its not a 'hot flash' its a personal summer or a power surge.
Believe me, when you have a power surge it feels like your blood is boiling and a cold shower can feel hot. They are horrible.
If you are feeling hot and it hits and leaves quickly it is just the start. Good luck with it. You could ask your doctor about HRT (Hormone replacement therapy) or go with all natural remedies.
Good luck! :)

Try some evening primrose oil, I have been having those feelings too, not full blown hot flashes that I've heard women talk about, but it's uncomfortable and the evening primrose helps.
