Recovering from surgery...help please?!
Question: Ok...bit embarrassing but I have a rare condition which means I get a lot of lumps and stuff on the inside. A couple of days ago I had surgery to try and fix the problem, they cut it open and inserted some mesh thing and then closed it over....i'm taking my medication and stuff but its reeeeeaaaallly sore and theres a lot of discharge, anyone got any idea what I can do to ease the pain and stop the discharge?

Oh my, I'm so sorry your going through this. It seems the pain meds should be helping you more than they are. Did you get any paperwork upon discharge describing what to and what not to expect after surgery?
You shouldn't be having that much discharge after surgery, it sounds like something isn't right. It could be something as small as an infection, but it needs to be dealt with sooner than later. I would atleast call the Dr.'s office & explain this to the nurse. She will leave a message with your Dr to call you, or tell you to come on in.
