Unusually long female nipples?!

Question: my girlfriend is a chesty girl (38D) @ 5' 11" tall.
my questions is, that although the thickness (girth) of her nipples is quite normal, the length of them is not. her nipples are, 1-3/16" long. i am not necessarily complanining about it but, the way they look, it seems abnormal. she is even considering a procedure to shorten them to about half their present length. now, is this (length) unusually rare, or is she panicking needlesly? if unusual, is there a surgical procedure available, and will this affect her in any way?

Dont listen to those others saying she should have surgery!
Its her own decision.
Its not as if her nipples are keeping her from having a boyfriend, its just if she feels uncomfortable with them and if she feels she would be happier with herself that she could make the decision about surgery.
That length is quite long for female nipples, but everybody develops differently.
The length doesnt seem much of a problem, its just how she feels about it that matters. Her emotion about it is much more important than a part of her body that only her and you see.

i've seen it once in a porn..freakishly long nips

that is really wierd ... she should go through the procedure

Everyone is different, I wouldn't personally be bothered about it. I think your girlfriend should think about the effect this procedure would have on breastfeeding for the future - extra long nipples may make that easier!

some women do have long nipples she should just leave them alone. it's no big deal

Nice!

they are just fine
