Frequent Urinary tract infections?!

Question: I get very frequent UTI's. Ive been on several different kinds of medications that get rid of the problem but then it comes back a few months later. Why do UTI"s keep coming back? This morning i woke up with all the usual symptoms of one. I had one last momth around the 15th, I evenhad to go in and see my OB & GYN for meds. Does anybody have any advice on what do to prevent them? They are so irritating! Any natuarl remedies? Because i know its not good to keep taking antibiotics so much. Especially since im trying to get pregnant!

I am sorry you are having this issue, but also I am glad someone else has the issue too. I feel like I cannot have sex without getting a UTI. No, its not a hygiene matter, cleanliness, etc. I have tried EVERYTHING and I still would get them. I finally did research on my own and now take a low dose antibiotic-nitrofurantoin ( I know, I don't like it either) everytime I have sex. I was getting them almost once a month for a long time. I have not had one now in over 2 years. My doctors and pharmacists all say that the medication I take isn't harmful, and long term studies show it is not resistant-so my body should always react. I do hope one day to be able to no longer take it. So, if you want to take it, do. Otherwise, good luck with the natural remedies and let me know if you find one that works. A co-worker of mine had the same issue for years and she ended up having her urethra widened.

One of the most popular and easiest home remedies is cranberry juice. Make sure when you go to the store that what you are getting is 100% Cranberry juice and not a cocktail.

Do NOT take bubble baths. they are one of the major causes of them. they make your ******** sore, and its sensitive to certain soaps (mostly scented) . Also, there is a pill (over the counter) that my mom use to give me when i got them.. I will ask the name, but until then, no bubble baths. also, don't hold your pee in. it makes your bladder super sensitive, and can be dangerous. Hope this helped!
