Your period is determined by what's going on in your uterus, namely by your ovulation---not by anything you're doing outside. No ovulation, no period.

You sound very young, so it's not a cause for alarm if your period is late occasionally. If you miss more than a few, you should see a doctor.

But I can't help hoping it was only your hymen you damaged. So many girls seem to be under the impression that their cervixes are what need to be "popped", and that they need to do that themselves before they have sex for the first time. That's not only incorrect, but not good...

its not dumb sweetie, sometimes periods skip a beat. if you remain worried see your dr and see what he says

WTF were you masturbating with?

No i dont think it messed up your schedule, but if you dont get it soon i would go see a doctor. Good luck.

it wouldnt mess up your schedule. you are probably just a little late. wait and see if it comes for at least another week before seeing a doctor.

the 'cherry' is the hymen, which is a membrane of tissue that covers the opening of the vagina (on the inside of your body). It could completely cover the vagina, or only cover it a little (and some women don't have much of one, everyone's different).

The membrane rarely "pops" - it's very thin, but it stretches when something is inserted into the vagina. So it could have torn slightly, or you could have just accidentally scratched yourself somewhere on the vaginal wall - both will bleed a little. But I don't think you'd rupture it completely. Anything done to your hymen or vaginal wall won't affect your period - that's determined by the hormones in your body.

Give yourself a few days to heal any potential scratches and try to watch out for it in the future (sharp fingernails can sometimes be a hazard). But unless you're being very rough I don't think major hymen damage is a worry - even internal examinations from doctors can happen without the hymen being damaged, they're pretty tough.
