I'm kind of confused about my period..?!

Question: I got my first period on Thursday, and it only went on through Friday afternoon. I had no PMS, no symptoms at all.. it just kind of came. But I really don't know why it did that.. can you help? And when will I get my next one?

yeah the first period isnt like that. It'll get worse as you get older. i get very crabby during it and i get cramps. and ull get it in 21 days.

First periods do that sometimes, not everyone has PMS. Some people's only last 2 days but they will most likely get longer after a few more. It will probably come again anywhere from 26-31 days from when it ended. It varies from person to person and it may be irregular for a while since you just started.

That happened to me on my first time. Hmmm as for ur next one its usually 28 days after your period stops but as for you just starting it might be random cuz ur body is still getting used to it. I am 14 and I have had mine for about a year and my body is still getting used to it a little bit

don't worry about it, when I got my first periode, I had no idea either. within the first few years of haveing your periode, your cycle may be a little unpredictable

sometimes it last longer than other times but if it keep doing that go to a gynocologist (ob/gyn)
you should have the next one in a month.
you wont have pms everytime

Not everybody gets those symptoms. You most likely get them when your older. After your period is over it will come back every 28 days because that is the cycle. It might come a couple day early or late. Hope this helps =]

For a few years, your period will be irregular because your body will be adjusting to the changes.

It should come again around in around 28 days, give or take a few.

Don't think you need to have PMS or any "symptoms", that's good. Not everyone gets those.

First of all, congratulations and welcome to womanhood! Your body is going through remarkable changes at this time! It's common to get it when you least expect it in the beginning and no one but God and your own body can predict the next period, especially now. You may get it next month, you may not get it for several months, it all depends on your unique and awesome make up! If you feel like researching, type in "first menstration questions" or "answers," something like that wording and you should be able to hit on a site that can give you more detail. Do NOT assume you will have PMS, many women go throughout their lifetimes without it. You may be the type to have cramping, you may not. What would be considered severe cramps to one person for example could be considered mild to someone else. Good Luck and Congratulations! Momma Kat

some time it just happen like that if its your first one then i say give it some time to get it self togther i could not tell you when your next one is cause its only the 1 one so just wait tell around the end of april and it may or may not come and thats okay to so do not worry about it just stay ready for it carry one are two pads around with you doing then end of the mo..

For the first two years, it is common and expected that your period will be abnormal / unpredictable. Nothing sounds wrong

your period will be irregular for quite some time when you first start. there is not going to be a way to tell when your next one comes for you will not have a normal cycle for a while but most women get it every 28 days. for me its every 23 days. you may sometimes get it once a month or every 2 weeks. sometimes it will be light other times heavy but eventually your cycle will get to be more predictible as your body adjusts. I am kinda lucky. i never get cramps. its different for everyone but i get extremely hungry and moody when i have it
