PLEASE help with horrid sweat problem? Will pick best answer soon.?!

Question: I have a horrid sweat problem. It's so bad. I tried Dove Powder-didn't work. Tried Degree- didn't work. Tried Lady Spirit Stick Gel- was worse than both of them. Tried Secret Clinical Strength- didn't work. I shower daily, doesn't help. HOWEVER, I've noticed a pattern. I only sweat at school. Never on a weekend! Is this odd? Also, I have a physical app. with my doc on April 16, should I make a sooner appt. or just wait until then? How should I tell my mom about this? What shirts should I wear to prevent this? Polos, t-shirts, and long sleeve shirts don't work. The only kind that works are super loose shirts and white or black shirts. I'm sorry for all the ?'s, BUT IT CAN'T TAKE IT. It's so humiliating. Help! :/

Use Certain dri. It works really well.
Use a blow dryer and blast cold air on your armpit
then apply 2 strokes of the deodorant.
Put plastic wrap on your arm pits and go to bed.
In the morning shower and make sure to exfoilate and wash with antibacterial hand soap and shave.
Then apply the deodorant after the shower.

You probably sweat more at school because you might be nervous or something.

Its nothing to be embarrassed about with your mom just joke about it and tell her.

Cotton t-shirts are the best and you can also buy little pad things to prevent it from soaking your shirt.

And make sure to tell the doctor, there are often things you can do to reduce sweat.

i hope all this helps!!

try ban

Layer your shirts. It will look kool, and the sweat won't get through so fast. I think you should get a sooner appt. with your doc if it's really bothering you. Just be straight up with your mom. "Mom I feel kind of gross but I think I sweat to much."

try mens deoderant

I have the same problem and it only happens to me at work (i'm a teacher). I went to my doctor but everything she suggested didnt work. Im not really sure what to tell you but she did inform me thats its anxiety or nervousness (but I dont feel nervous or anxious at all). I too stick to dark colored clothes. If your doctor tells you anything else to use please let me know...

A guy I was dating had the same problem and then one day I saw on TV. That they were injecting BOTOX into the underarm which keeps u dry and sweet free for up to 6 months. I know it works for sure it worked for him. But I do think it was a little bit pricey. Best of luck.

PS. Ask ur doc about what I told u about and about maybe a perscription deorderent.

try guy deoderant. its stronger then girls

If your feet stink-- try bating them in a sweet tea for a while. (It worked for moi!)

If your armpits sweat, try injecting botox into them. I know it sounds crazy, but I know a doctor who feels this is the bes remedy.

Of course-- shower or bathe regularly, and use anti-persperant. You might try a pore minimizer somewhere... But that is just a guess.

got ingles and get this deoderen't called ladys choose it is a invisible stick and it really im talking REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY lst a long time

talk to your doctor about it at your physical there is a prescription antipersperant..i use it and as long as i use it when i am supposed to it really works. just make sure your doctor understands that it is upsetting your personal life.

the doctor can prescribe a deodorant called Drysol that should do the trick. You just can't use it right before getting into chlorine like a pool or hottub.

Certain Dri

I used to sweat under my soo badly, even if I was sitting around in AC
I was sooo embarrassed, this stuff saved my life! However if you use it too much, it will make ur pits really raw.
If you are sweating only at school you probably have anxiety, I would talk to your doctor and get on an anti anxietiy med. It helped me out too

oh by the way you will probablly grow out of the uncontrolable sweating, I did. I had it all through out middle school, then it stopped once i got to high school

Aww, im so sorry.
I use mum unperfumed and that works for me.
Maybe it's worse in the week because you're more stressed?
Sorry i can't offer more help, i'll research it on the internet.
I think sport clothes would be best because they are designed for this, do see where im going?
Good luck! Just hang on, you will find the solution!

Have you ever considered that your excessive perspiration may be due to anxiety? With the little info you gave us, it might make sense because you say that it happens at school. Some people suffer from what is called generalized social anxiety disorder. There are many ways to treat this, including meditation, changes in diet and sleep pattern, and medication.

Take some time to consider this before you see your doc. on the 16th. Decide if you think that maybe anxiety may be a big contributor to your sweating. If I am way off base here, maybe you could ask him/her for some prescription strength deodorant/antiperspirant (you know you are supposed to apply it at night instead of in the morning, right?). The only other effective solution I have seen (and it's not permanent) would be Botox injections in the armpit area. I suggest you explore all other options first because this can be both pricey and painful.

Anyway, I wish you the best.

The reasons for your over-sweating is most likely stress. Stress is school is crazy. It can affect people in many ways. Like over sweating. Buy a yoga tape and do it everyday. This reduces stress. Also stop freaking out so much over it, doing this just makes it worse. If you do not see a effect, tell your mother and ask her if she can do anyhting. As to the shirts detail no one shirt can truly help. But I have researched some and some people have been known too place a small pad under there arm.

Hope I helped

There's nothing wrong with you. Sweat is all about hydration, but anyway try degree clinical strength. I'm not overweight, but I sweat like a 400 lb man and that stuff is the only kind that works for me... lol.

And really its ok... alot of us girls have sweating issues, i swear.

I totally understand. Can the sweat can be seen, or is there a smell associated with it?
If there is a smell, the deoderants may help cover it up but sweat will still show through. Even the "anit-persperants" don't work.
I sweat profusely under my arms, between my legs, my hands and feet.
It is really awful! (Even when I am not pregnant!)
I have found that my emotions, nervousness and stress can trigger the sweating.
So there is one area you might want to pursue with your doctor, the possible reasons why you are sweating.
As far as controlling it, I think that arm pit guards (they are real things, too) might help until you can find out ways of getting it under control.
You might want to talk to your mom about this. Just to get some support at home. You are not abnormal or dysfunctional!
All my best.

I would think that it's stress related if it only happens at a certain place. You should just tell you mother. Maybe it's a genetic thing and she had the same problem at some point.

You should wear loose fitting clothes that breath. Cotton is great and it is very easy to find clothing made from it. Maybe stick to tank tops and short sleeves until you get this figured out. Drink lots and lots of water!

Also, you can buy a small bottle of baby powder to carry in your purse or keep in your locker. You can rub it under your arms throughout the day and it will help you freshen up and keep you dry. Good luck sweetie. I know things like this can be embarrassing :) Keep your chin up.

I have a similar problem! I've talked to my doctor about it in the past, and she recommended an injection into my armpit to relieve the sweating. After years of having undesirable and embarrassing pit stains, it sounded amazing! However, your body needs somewhere to release the toxins and sweat. If it's not coming out of your armpits, it'll find somewhere else to go-- your face. My doctor warned me that if I got the injection, my face would break out horribly.

Instead of getting a face full of zits, I choose to stay with the stains. I started switching my deodorants. I've noticed that Ban works really well for me, but only for a limited time. What I usually do is buy two types of deodorant, and alternate once one starts becoming less effective. On the market now, they have something called "Clinical Strength" which I believe is made by Degree (I could be wrong about that). It's a deodorant that's specifically designed to reduce sweating, acting almost like that injection of Botox I talked about earlier.

I hope everything works out!

Dont worry hun. I used to have the same problem. You sweat more at school then you do on the weekends because at school your walking around and thinking and all of that stress and energy makes you sweat, while on the weekends, your more relaxed so sweat decreases. Ive been using Maxim antiperspirant for a while now and trust me this is the best product ever, i swear by it. I highly reccomend it, all you have to do is put some on at night before you go to bed and the next day you really will not sweat. Its amazing! the only fault in this product is that it may itch a little, so shave a couple days before applying to reduce the itchiness. I personally think that I would rather go through itchiness than terrible horrid sweating! Also, it only itches when you first apply it. but the next day it will not itch at all. I have recommended this product to anyone and everyone who has told me their problems with sweat. There has been nothing but happy success with this product.

It only happens at school and before first period is over? I wonder if you are electrosensitive like I am? Profuse sweating is one of my top 5 symptoms. Even driving my car causes me to sweat anymore.

Many schools have wi-fi now and are located near cell phone masts - not to mention the fluorescent lights found in most classrooms today.

Once you've become electrosensitive, pretty much any EMF/RF source can trigger symptoms - sweating, anxiety, headaches, tingling/numbness, metallic taste, etc...

Here's some info on electrosensitivity (also called microwave sickness). This is an emerging illness in the US, though in some countries (like Sweden), ES is already a recognized illness. The symptoms vary, but sweating is one of my tops.
