Question: well um i'm 11 and i think i just started my period!!! EWW. My mom is out of town for about a week and i refuse to talk about this to my dad or big brother!!!! What should i do??? i don't know how to use a tampon and i have dance and swimming tonight. what is i start to bleed?? plz help!!!

to insert a tampon,the first few times you might want to use a mirror just so u c wat ur doing.
1-get a tampon and wash ur hands
2-sit on the toilet legs spread
3-insert the tampon slowley,stop when ur fingers touch the outside of ur vagina(should be half of the tampon)
4-press of the outer tube to start inserting the actual cotton tampon
5if its properly inserted you shouldnt feel it at all,if u could feel it remove the used tampon and when you insert the new tampon,aim it toward ur back at a slight angle and try to insert it further into the vaginal canal.
6-if its properly inserted u can leave it in from 6-8 hours depending on ur flow,and if u want u could wear a pantiliner for backup.then wash ur hands.
(i wouldnt swim without one because its unsanitary,and its disgustng to swim in ur own blood,and u dont no if once ur in the water u wont start bleeding,so dont do it!lol)

buy pads! this happened to me and i had basketball practice sooo dont worry you'll survive try and get pads but if u rele cant than put a lot of paper towel or toilet paper in ur underwear like fold it up like a pad..goodluck
use a pad. go in your parents bathroom and find a pad.

Don't worry! It will be fine. I got mine when I was 11 as well. Just wear a pad. And tampons aren't as hard as you'd think to put in. Just take your time and slip it in. It will feel weird! Your stomach might feel tingly when you put it in. And if you bleed, it's okay! Just make sure you have a pad on. They can hold anything! You could also call your mom. Or email her.

for the tampon well go and read the directions in the box. trust me its not that bad
call your mother, talk to female neighbor, talk to mother of close friend or teacher or coach. Tell your dad that you need to talk to your mother.
It's ok.I am 13 and I started mine when i was about your age.Pads are much easier to use than tampons.So,if you have pads,I would use them.Also,don't worry about the dance.Just make sure you are protected.I started my period in the summer.I went swimming.Trust me,you don't bleed in the pool.Good luck!!!

the first time you use a tampon is the hardest but in ur situation u gota do this it maybe be a little painful cuz mine was but thats also because most girls place it in wrong.

when you put in a tampon you want to but the WHOLE plastic or as much as the plast you can into your whole make sure you spread you legs a little try looking in a mirra push the tiny plastic part that hangs down up in the direction of your whole. if it is not comfertable try to push the tampon in ferther with your finger. if you dont have a tampon
youse toliet paper. fold the paper ( get as much as you thing you need) so that is is in a cirlcle thats tall then fold the paper hotdog way. then place it in your whole
for dance if you dont want to do that wrap toliet paper around your undies.
and for swiming when your bodiehits the water you dont tend to bleed that mach but i would still try a tampon or something

just go to ur dad and ask him to take u to wal mart and just buy some pads or just tell him
I would't recommend a tampon unless you really want to use one if u do just buy a package of tampons (The playtex sport regulars work for me) and inside there are instructions on how to put them in. The playtex sport tampons go in way easy and they don't hurt. If u need more info IM or Email me if u need to!
P.S. Take a couple ibuprofen to prevent cramps!
