2 m/c's in a matter of 4 months.. please read?!

Question: Ive had 2 miscarriages in a matter of 4 months. Meaning I had one in December 2007 and I just had one March 2008. Is it normal to have one miscarriage right after the other or does this mean that something could be wrong?

It took me 1 1/2 weeks to get a positive with my first miscarriage back in December and 2 weeks to get a positive with my 2nd miscarriage in March.

Im so devestated about the recent miscarriage that I almost want to stop TTC because it hurts too much when I do miscarry.

I had one successful pregnancy about 2-3 years ago with my daughter. However, it was with a different guy. I am married to a different guy now who is not the father of my daughter but treats her as if he was. Could it have something to do with him? Could it be me?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for such a long question.

I too had 2 miscarriages between my 2 girls and was devastated. I was 34 when I had my first child, so my age put me at "high risk." I was trying too hard to get pregnant. My doctor did a physical on me and told me to relax and I would get pregnant. I did eventually. I would have a physical to see if your health has changed since your last pregnancy.
If you find that everything is okay with you perhaps your husband would agree to getting checked out. He may not agree to this because of the blame game thing. But perhaps he'll agree. He sounds like a pretty good guy since he's so good to your daughter!!! Big points for him!!!
Best of luck to you and your family :+))))))))))

It is very traumatic and hard on your body to go through a miscarriage. The first one could have been caused by anything but the second one was probably because there wasnt enough time for you body to completely regain its strength between the first and second one and your body was probably just not strong enough to carry and support a baby. I would say give it a little bit of time and give it another try but definately ask your doctor.

I had two miscarriages back to back like this. I didn't get a RhoGam shot after my first, & I was told that is why I miscarried the second time. My blood type is A- & it has something to do with your body building antibodies against Rh+ blood if I understand correctly. Are you Rh-? If so, it may be something you can bring up to your doctor. I'm sorry for your loss. It's very tough trying to get over one miscarriage, even harder with the second. I did have something good come out of my experience. I ended up getting pregnant 2 months after the last miscarriage & carried my daughter almost to term - 36 weeks. She was healthy & went home with me. And I just recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy. :-) Don't give up yet!
