How can i prepare for my 1st period how will i no when its about to start?!

Question: hey,

to be honest wiht you..im a guy and i dont really know much of these girl stuff, but i heard it from my gf and yer it usually stars with cramps on your sides..and usually you start bleeding from below that area. Preparing for it..well first 1period you dont really know "when" its going to happen, but after every month you will notice that the time will be usually scheduled out so you can predict ahead of time when it is going to start. Maybe have a tampon ready or something? Take care , hope that helps :)

just make Shir you Carey a pad with you every ware you go and you will be prepared.

You can always carry a pad/tampons with you, like in your backpack or purse.
But you normally won't know when you'll get it, but you could asked all the females in your family when they started and that can give you a general age area.

this helped e a lot!

I don't really think there's anyway to know that you are about to have your first period. I surely didn't. But what I would do is get some Playtex SlimFit tampons, pantyliners, pads (I like Always...but I don't think that they have slimmer tampons), Midol, lots of chocolate, and a nice sappy chick flick! You'll be all set!

To prepare for your first period.
#1 Carry a pad with you. If you dont have a purse put it in your locker.. dont have a locker get apencil case or something like that in that affect.

You will have symptems :

Mood Swings
Cramps
Back Aches
Head Aches
Stomach Aches
Nasia

You'll start to get stomache cramps or feeling sick, it's different for every girl, but main symptoms include;
feeling sick
stomache cramps
bloated
Other signs that you might start your period include a slight headache, leg ache or backache for a few hours. The most common symptom of getting your period is cramping. You may feel abdominal cramping, similar to a stomach ache for the first few days of your period.

To prepair... always carry a few pads around with you!!

Hope this helped
Good luck

I'd say take some sanitry towels/tampons out with you just in case!

Signs are just going though puberty really.

Like breasts developing, pubic hairs.

One of the main signs is discharge but i had i for months before mine started.

They can start from as early as 9 years old to about 16 years old. Average being around 13/14.

Heavier girls usually start earlier i've been told, might not be true.

You'll never really be fully prepared but just take some towels etc out with you incase it catches you out!

Also i'll add that your first one will most likely be very short and very light! The irregular for a while from then on!

Your period comes at all different times. some of my friends went to the bathroom and it started, other friends of mine saw blood in there underwear and knew,My one friend started getting cramps and knew, and my other Friends they felt it. When i got my period i woke up n there was blood on my sheet n when i used the bathroom i saw blood coming out and i just knew. And i started usin a pad and i didn't no when to change cuz i couldn't feel so after about a day with a pad i switched to a tampon which i think personlly is easir. It keeps everythin inside of u and u can shower with them and not get blood everywhere. There is really no way 2 prepare other than keep a pad with u or if u prefer a tampon. Hope this helped and dnt stress about it hapening in public.

make sure you have sanitary towels in stock - stick on ones, if you think you are not far off from your first period. I had mine aged 11 & nothing could prepare me for it. My parents had spoken to me about it so i thought i would be ok but when it happened it was still a shock About 2 days before i felt ill not sick just tired, uncomfortable, irriatable i lay on the sofa went to bed early woke up next day and voila i was a women. I felt embarressed when i had to get my mom to show me how to attatch a sanitary towel and belt - it was a long time ago. Its not so bad now with stick on pads though. all will be ok though.

i wish you would be able to know. the way that i knew was i started to get breast buds. and then i had a white discharge for a couple months on the week that i would have it. i got arm hair. and then it came. cramps, mood swings, and back pain are signs too. to prepare when you think u r going to have it carry around a pad with u in a purse, pencil case, or in ur back pack. that way when it comes you will be ready. oh ya and make sure when u put on the pad that you put it far enough back. asking family members when they got it helps too.

hope i helped xoxo

Unfortunately, you probably won't know unless you start to get cramps, which are very low in your tummy towards the front. My first one was a surprise when I got up one morning. I was eleven. My mom had already told me about it, and had the pads waiting. She kept me out of school, took me to lunch and bought me all my own supplies.

I think I started my first period today, I had no idea. I haven't told my Mum yet either but I might tell her tomorrow. Just carry pads around but the first one is light, you don't notice it.

when it try to kick and punch you stomach.
