Why are there pimples down there?!

Question: They are really pesky and I want them gone!

Answers: They are really pesky and I want them gone!

When girls, or even guys, shave their pubic hair, is it not uncommon to get ingrown hairs. Pubic hair tends to be curlier than arm or even head hair, which can lead to ingrown hairs. These pesky ingrown hairs can even cause pimples. If a pimple seems to be getting redder, bigger, more tender, or warm it could be a sign of infection, and you should see a doctor as soon as possible.
To reduce the likelihood and frequency of ingrown hairs, try shaving in the direction your hair grows rather than against it, as this can cause irritation. Use shaving cream and also avoid dry shaving, to help prevent ingrown hairs.

Not every bump is a pimple or an ingrown hair, however. Bumps that are red and tender, even atthere base, might be herpes. Herpes may be tender before they appear, quite painful once they do, and then disappear some days later. They may return from time to time. Herpes isa viral infection, usually transmitted sexually. If there is any doubt, your doctor or nurse can check what the cause of the bumps are

i would ask a doctor for clarification. tests can be run to see what it is or could be. good luck.

It could be from shaving if you shave if you do not shave then I would go and see your doctor it could be a lot of diffrent things but you should really be checked.

if you have shaved it may be shaving rash. Otherwise if it is itchy or sore it may be a sweat rash. It may be best to get it checked out by a doctor to check it isn't anything nasty especially if you are sexually active. If it is itchy dooo not scratch it as it will hurt a lot afterwards and may get infected!!! not nice down there!!

During puberty your body overproduces oil from your sweat glands. Sometimes the glands can become clogged which gives a warm, wet home for bacteria. Your body tries to fight off the infection and the damage it has caused with inflammation, which is what causes a pimple to rise.

Generally, pimples occur on areas with lots of sweat glands. The area between the legs is a hot spot for friction which increases the amount of dead skin. The warmth, wetness, and supply of edible material makes this area good breeding ground for bacteria.

The best way to counteract this is through thorough cleaning. Just use soap and water when you're in the shower.
