Every woman has a natural odor to her vagina. If the odor is exceptionally strong or foul smelling, that can be a sign of an infection. If you have a yellow, green, or chunky white discharge along with the odor, or the odor is really strong or bad, you need to get checked out by a doctor to make sure you don't have an infection, or so you can get treated if you do. Otherwise, it's not anything to worry about. Just make sure you keep yourself clean, and wear cotton panties. Panty liners can also help, but make sure you change them regularly. And don't be embarrassed to talk to your mom about this stuff. She's been through it all. I was always embarrassed to talk to my mom, and I now wish I had been more open with her about the problems I was having. I went through years of miserable cramps, and now know that I could have had help a long time ago for them. Just go up to her and tell her what's on your mind. She loves you and she'll help you however she can. **EDIT** Don't douche! That can make things much worse. You should also stay away from scented pads and deoderant sprays for your vaginal area. They can all throw off your natural pH and lead to infections! And a really bad odor shouldn't just be covered up, it needs to be properly treated by the doctor.

its probably just BO maybe put some deodorant on.

is it in the vaginal area? it could be having sex if you have had it its most likely just a bacterial thing see a doctor or find some of that cream

ur va jay jay is just too beat, lol

Ask your friends to ask their moms. Or, I'm sure your mom would probably understand. Just tell her. It can't be all that bad.

you might feel wierd but your mom has been there done that. it seems scary at first...duh...but don't worry your mom will be more than happy to help.lf push comes to shove femine odor 'down there' might be caused my some sort of infection. if its not there then deoderant is the best thing. Secret is by far the best one to sure

You could have a yeast infection (if there is itch) or did you just have your menstrual cycle? That can also cause an odor. There is something made now that I believe is sold at WalMart. I'm sorry, but I don't know the name of it. It is kinda like a douche, but it cleans the bacteria out. They say to use it after sex, menstrual cycles, etc.

Well this is more than obvious you must wash down there right and if the problem still continues I suggest a douche. There cheap and easy to use just follow the directions on the box. Hope this helped :)+

well if its during ur time of the month then its kinda normal but if u want to get rid of it wash frequently and try using scented pads

Odor and a pale discharge is a natural process of being female, so long as the smell of it isn't so powerful it bowls you over and makes you want to gag.

If your discharge becomes creamy and begins to look like cottage cheese and you have a strong odor it means you have a yeast infection. There is lots of shelf medications like Monostat that you can use to help eliminate it.

If your discharge is dark yellow and smells horribly, go see a gynecologist. You might have a vaginal infection that requires antibiotics.

Whatever you do, don't play doctor with yourself. Whenever you are in doubt, get to a gynecologist. Your family doctor can recommend one to you. And you have every right to request either a male or female gynecologist, whatever you feel comfortable with.

Good luck. I hope it's nothing too serious.

ok u rly need to talk to her about this...I have a tip tho this is what I do to help get rid of any odor....I get these Feminine wipes from walmart they are where the tampons and pads are u cant miss them...most of the time people use them while on their period I do as well but however ehn u wake up in the morning wipe wit one or two...and anytime in the day u feel that you need a freshen up...
something else I also do...b4 you go to bed at night spray your underwear once with a body mist or spray....on the outside near the middle...this should also help...but for now...just try and keep things very clean down there...also dont forget to perhaps talk to you mom...she has already been there...so she knows what its about she would prolly even be happy that u came to her with your problem rather than someone else...

The last two answers are absolutely correct - listen to them! (don't douche! so unhealthy!) I also wanted to throw out there, that I know it can be embarrassing to talk to your mom about these things, but vaginal odor, discharge, cramps, etc. etc. can actually be -- eep! -- genetic, so it might ease your mind if you ask and find your mom is exactly the same about some things. It was very awkward at first, but once I found that common ground with my mom on "feminine issues", it was nice to know I wasn't alone, or crazy!

Ask mom to buy you a douche Summer's eve or Massengil they say over douching isn't healthy buy after a period who wants to walk around smelling like a gym sock clean yourself out I have been since I was sixteen and I have had no problems or infections only a vagina that smells like flowers I douche once a week
