Answers: is the clearish stuff in my underwear the first step of having my period??

The clearish stuff is called discharge. Although this is not your period, it is a sign of puberty. You shouldn't worry about it unless it starts to stink really bad of become dark and discolored. If it bugs you, wear panty liners so you won't stain your panties or feel wet.

Since this is the first step of puberty, you should excpect to have your period within a year (assuming you haven't gotten it yet) Also, you will get yoru period about 6-12 months after you reach 100 pounds. To be prepared, put a pad in your purse/ backback. Also, pay attention to your body. Some of the signs right before you get your period are bloating, lots of discharge, and cramps. You will also have a growth spurt before this. I grew about 2 inches in like 9 mounths.... good luck =)

yupp and its called discharge

When you have your period blood comes out. So a clear liquid is something else.

discharge is almost like mucous, and it is your vagina's natural way of keeping itself clean!
yay for clean vaginas!

I am not sure, but if it does, then I'll probably be getting it too. My mom said that it was normal when I asked her one day. Well if it does, good luck! (sorry if that sounded weird)

yes, it sort of is. you will have this for about a year before you start. don't worry about it, if it is clearish, its healthy.

look it up on google until you find an explanation you understand well.

Clearish liquid is discharge and no it's not period unless it turns brownish. Good Luck =]

its white discharge but it can be c u m when you masterbate

yes, the discharge is normal, the body is just cleaning itself out by that liquid. don't worry a period is not all too bad
hope i could assist!! : )

Mmm. Not necessarily.

Because the vagina is a self-cleaning organism, a woman will experience various types of discharge throughout the entire month. You could be noticing discharge that is the vagina 'cleaning' itself. Women also discharge when they become aroused, what people refer to as "getting wet" (I hope your of age for me to have mentioned that lol) and also, our discharge changes at certain times in our cycle.

I'll give you a quick breakdown of what your period is:

So basically, if you're a fertile female, your period is you indication that you can become pregnant. Over the period of a month, the lining that coats your uterus becomes more and more thick - it is awaiting a fertilized egg. About half way through your cycle, an ovum (egg) is released from your ovary. This egg is making it's way down into your uterus, looking for a sperm. Because this egg has been released and ready to be fertilized, this is your most fertile time - the best time that women who WANT to become pregnant TRY to become pregnant. The rest of your body also knows that this is your most fertile time. Not only do women (who are old enough!) get the desire for "male attention" at this time, but also, our discharge begins to change. As our body temperature changes when our bodies are ready to get pregnant, so does our cervical mucus. After a man and a woman engage in sex, sperm is released into the vagina. To make it easier for the sperm to gain access to our egg, the vaginal produces thicker cervical mucous at this time of our cycles. So again, this is about halfway through the cycle when you ovulate. Mucous gets thicker to accomodate the sperm. It also comes out as some discharge, and that is what you are seeing now. The "clearish stuff" lol. When you egg has not been fertilized, it dies (ovulation is over). All this time, however, your uterine lining has been building up, getting itself ready to house a fertilized egg. But because conception hasn't happened, it all has to shed away (a couple weeks after the egg has been released) to start the process again). This is when we bleed.

Sooooo..... long story short, when you see the clearish stuff in your underwear, it COULD be just normal, everyday discharge. OR, if it's pretty prominent, it is a good indicator that you are ovulating and very fertile. It's an indication that your period will start in about 2 weeks or so.

Just wear a pantiliner.

lol that explanation took a bit longer than I thought....

Good luck...

Yes It's called discharge. An easy way to take care of this is to use pantie liners, there like mini pads and not as uncomfortable. This is normal so don't be worried.
