Provera challenge (first period)?!
Question: i'm almost 16. I decided to wait a month or 2 before talking to my mum about not getting my first period yet bc i am a bit worried. any way, i read about the provera challenge. if i visit my doctor, will he put me on that? what kind of tests or checks do they do if you haven't gotten your period yet? do they hurt? thank you

I'm not sure if the doctor will put you on provera, but if he does, it's no big deal.. It's pills you take for a few days and makes you get your period. It's not painful at all! The worst that can happen at the doctor is, that he'll do some bloodwork that usually takes a few minutes.. Don't worry, you'll be fine.
