I strongly recommend Tampax. If I were you, I would use a plastic applicator so it will go in smoother. Make sure to read the directions carefully to know how to properly put one in. And make sure to use lites when your flow isn't very heavy, and regulars-supers if your flow increases. And never leave one in for longer than 8 hours. Good luck, and don't forget to relax!!!(it loosens the muscles so it's a little easier to put one in)

tampax.

agreed. but i suppose thats a personal preference. try a few different brands and sizes, and see what suits you best.

Tampax pearl in my opinion...
playtex gentle glide is good too.

Stay away from cardboard until you get good at using them, and definitely pay attention that you don't get some without applicators. THOSE ARE NOT FUN, especially when you are learning.

I use kotex. I have to use ones with plastic applicators cause cardboard hurts me. I suggest using plastic for the first few times too, it's easier to slide.

some like the plastic better
but in general u shouldnt wear them for over 4 hrs at a time and should try to use pad better bec tampons are unhealthy

anything by tampax is great!! and they have comprehensive instructions as to how to insert the tampon inside the box

I like kotex tampons the best because they have an actual ridge you can hold onto, tampax are hard for me to use and I end up putting it in too low so I can feel it, not a pleasant thing

it depends what kind of flow you have. if you have a heavy flow then pearl is fine, but if it's light then i would to with stayfree light. Mine is pretty light and i tried tampax pearl and it wasn't pretty when i tried to take it out. also, pearl and compact are the same thing the compact one is just smaller packaging.

Tampax is a good brand to use, however, they are pretty long in size and may be difficult/uncomfortable for you to use since you are so young. There is a brand called o.b. on the market. They do not have an applicator but they are smaller in size and widely recommended by doctors for young girls. They may take a little more practice but you'll get the hang of it in no time.
