Hi :) I think it's great that you are getting ready for when that day comes! The pantiliner is a great idea because I know discharge can come and ago in the months before your first period, but the tampons may not be as effective. It takes a little while to learn how to put them in correctly, and without the need for them, they might not go in at all! You should stick with the pantiliners and once your period starts, I would recommend using pads for a while until you become comfortable enough to use tampons.

this is possible it isn't always easy those first few times. It may sound gross but you may just want to start with a pad until you get used to it

You should not put a tampon in if youre not on your period. If you havent ever had a period tampons probably arent the best option for you. Most girls start with pads then switch to tampons when theyre more comfortable with their bodies.

You probably had trouble from tensing up your muscles making the opening smaller.

I'm a girl on my bro's account. he doesn't care what I answer. The first time I started, my mom wasn't home so I called her on the phone and she walking me through it. She told me to lay down on my bed and relax. them to spread the labia apart (which was really embarrassing to hear) and put the applicator into my vagina at a little bit of an angle. Then, she said to push the little stick thing that makes the tampon come out (forgot what it's called), then gently take out the tampon.

I hope that helps. It took me a couple of tries but I got it in the end, and I'm sure you will too!!!

hey.sometimes when you try to insert a tampon, you have to put your leg up on something, maybe a toilet seat,or maybe move it around a LITTLE bit so you will find the right "place".. and for the pantiliner question,im not sure if i exactly understand it, but wearing pantiliners & pads for the first time feels really weird..and for the tampon question again, you might want to use pads & pantliners when you first get it so you can be comfortable with your body

You should NEVER put a tampon in unless you are having your period. If you try to put it in now, the tampon could leave some cotton behind when you pull it out causing an infection. Wait to practice until you have your period. For now, just use pantiliners to catch the discharge. And don't worry, your period will come soon enough. I couldn't wait for mine to come, and then today it did. It is not very fun so don't rush yourself. Enjoy not having it!

Well that takes some practice and it helps if you are actualy on you period for the extra lube and just a hint its not good to put one in when your not on your period for the risk of TSS. but yeah i started my period when i was 11yrs and couldnt put one in till i was 16yrs and my sister she started at 12yrs but had no problem. and yes some discomfort is normal but after awhile you shouldnt even know its there, like i said it takes practice
