Because of hormones it is necessary for there to be a weight of a least 100 lbs or very close to it. I have to wonder if there is not an eating disorder which may be causing this problem. With eating disorders some time the periods go before the heart and kidneys. I hope you are being safe and caring for your body correctly.

i dont really understand what the question is... but if it helps I was 98 lbs when I got my period and I was 12 years old, but it is different for every girl
hope this helps

You are horribly underweight. You risk heart problems...your period will be the least of your concerns when you have a heart attack from not eating. You need at least 2000-2300 calories per day.

You need therapy. Get it before yor parents have to bury their daughter. Good Luck and prayers sent your way.

starvation and malnutrition can lead to ammenorrhoae otherwise no corelation with weight and periods.

what is your questin babe?

If you had your period before, your doctor is right that your low weight is causing your menstrual cycle to stop. Having a period is part of your body's reproductive system, and if you don't have enough body fat to healthfully support a developing baby, you won't get your period.

If you are a hardcore exerciser (a long-distance runner, for example) some doctors say that stopping your period is okay, but it sounds like you have an eating disorder. This can be INCREDIBLY hazardous to your mental and physical health, and you need to get help right away if you are not already receiving treatment. If you do have an eating disorder, your absent period is just a symptom, not the cause of the problem.

When I was 13-14, I stopped my period because of my anorexia. I refused the treatment my parents offered, and ended up hospitalized. Now (at age 20) I am finally starting to get the therapy I need. It has been a long road, and I wish I would have accepted treatment sooner. Check out the website something-fishy.org for information/support. Best of luck to you, and please do what you need to do in order to heal yourself. My heart goes out to you.
