Aunt flow and Stress? yikes! please advice?!

Question: Hello ladies.. I've heard that super amounts of stress can delay your period. I've had an irregular cylce since I was 18 and now i'm 22. sometimes my period likes to be put on stop ..for example normally I start at the end of the month but every once in awhile it will go past the 25-31 days and start in the middle of the next month. If I stop stressing out will this help my cycle be on a reulgar basis? thanks ladies...I'm going crazy.

Yes and no. I know that stress can play a big contributing factor but some women are just irregular. Have you tried oral contraceptives to try and regulate your cycle?

I am 33 now and finally had to have a full hysterectomy at 29 but I had alot of problems and would bleed 3 weeks out of the month. But I know that doctors can give you prescriptions to help with stress and also to help regulate your cycles as well. I hope this helps. Good luck.

going on the pill will help regulate a period
stress can delay a period yes

It is one of those maybe, maybe not situations.
You can go on a mild birth control pill that will regulate you, or hopefully will.
Some times weight can do this aswell especially if you are underweight.
If you are not happy with yourself, always see a gyno.

Yes, stress does delay your cycle. Try to calm down and it should go back to normal. If you are sexually active, you could have an STD. If no stress doesn't work, talk to your doctor.

Yes, stop stressing about it. A lot of women have cycles that go longer than 28 days. Let you body do it's thing. If it becomes too irregular, birth control pills are sometimes prescribed to regulate your period. Hope this helps, and relax :)
