You will have to remove your clothes. Your doctor will then have you lie on your back and place you feet in the stirrups on the end of the table. The speculum that they use should be warmed. The doctor will use a small wooden stick, much like a tongue depressor. and will scrape the lining of your cervix. It is NOT that bad. The more you worry about the more scared you will be. It does not take longer either. I just had one yesterday

No if this is the first time it will feel uncomfortable only when they open up the clamp you will feel and hear a couple of clicks after that you should be fine.
