Why am I always exhausted?!

Question: I can sleep for 14 hours and still feel tired all day. I'd rather stay home 24/7 because I can't find the energy to do much. I can't drink energy drinks, too much caffeine gives me chest pains. Is there anything that can wake me up during the day? Keep me moving & less tired?

See your doctor. Self-medicating without an accurate diagnosis is downright dangerous.

Have you had your progesterone levels checked out? Most women in todays world are low in it, and it can lead to fatigue and lots of other symptoms. Google it - as well as looking for a GREAT book called "What your Doctor May Not Tell you About Pre-Menopause". Its wonderful. Go well! - Lou

get a nap between your sleep :)

Its about drive, you need positive drive.
Lol i know for sure its easyer said then done. But thats what it's all about energy is positive thinking, assuming you are eating enough well balanced food that is.

drink more water & try cranberry juice first thing in the morning (it tastes like crap but it sure wakes u up!)

Your over-sleeping, eat alot!! stop being anna! drink anything and stop being a drama queen!

Dont Sleep more... SLeep less and have a Sex during night time.. u will enjoy whole day...

Have you been tested for diabeties? That is how I felt. I could sleep until 10:00 am then need a nap at 12:00. You need to ask your doctor to test you for diabeties. I'm not wishing it on you, but I feel soooo much better now that I have it under control. Good luck.

try to do the exercise..
it will be hard at first but if u continue,u will be use to it
i think what u feel is laziness?
if u just continue to sleep, nothing will happen.
u should learn to fight that laziness, thats no good.
gudluck..

I can relate to that. You see the more one sleeps the more lethargic one gets. Try sleeping less say 8 hours max and see how you feel . It works for me . Sometimes altho I sleep only a few hours like 4 hours but by getting up at the crack of dawn I feel so fresh and get to do more things in the day. Try it.

usually if you sleep too many hours that is when you will likely be tired for the rest of the day!what i would suggest is that you minimize the hours that you sleep to lets say 9 hours.

Well a few things. First off, you're most likley sleeping too much.

Try sleeping for 8 hours tops and see how that day goes. If you're still too tired during the day, you could possible have thyroid problems and should consider seeing an endocrinologist. This is especially true if you're seeing an affect on weight gain/loss that doesn't seem connected to diet. (Brittle nails are also a sign of thyroid problems)

Also, space out your meals. If you normally eat 3 meals a day, try eating 6 smaller meals at shorter intervals.

I'll keep u awake baby

You could have diabetes or SAD (seasonal disorder - e.g you like sunlight). there is a girl in my class exactly like you and she had herself checked out by a GP (or family practitioner if ur US) and the GP had no idea. You may wish to consult specialist advice. But the fact energy drink gives you chest pains is quite worrying. Also drink lots of water!

1. drink water
2. dont sleep too long
3. do exercise daily
4. eat healthy food not jung food
5. get involved in it whatever you do
6.sex does not cause any waste of energy

That's exactly how I feel if I sleep too much. That may be your problem. I sleep maybe 6-7 hours a night and I'm good to go, but if I sleep 9 or 10 or more....I'm useless for the entire day and will want to do nothing more than lay around..... Try drinking more water, too.

Exercise and a balanced diet can help. You should talk to doctors and gym instructors they maybe able to help.

Well.......I'm not sure, but personally i think you should go to the doctors as he / she can prescribe you proper medication and hopeful make you less tired.........

crack..

j/k Do you have any hobbies or anything> SOUNDS like lack of motivation to me. And to much sleeep. I sleep like 6 hrs a night and im aight. Actually im pretty tired... lmao

You are sleeping too much for started, could also be lack of Iron or depression but I would go see a Dr. It could be nothing but Please don't take any chances PLEASE !

I've had the same problem for years. It turns out that I've had sleep apnea for years as well. You may want to get tested for this as it can completely drain your energy and is hard to detect on your own. You don't have to be overweight or male or "old" to have sleep apnea, although those factors make it more likely.

Try reducing sleep to about 8-9 hours. Make sure that you're eating right. Three meals a day. Drink plenty of fluids. If your exhaustion persists, consult a doctor. You're probably over-sleeping to the point of exhaustion.

Hope you get better.

How long has it been happining? It could be PMS(Pre-Menstrual-System) Or maybe you are sleeping to much. I drink 24hour energy in the mornings.

those can be signs of an illness and could be serious you should get checked out
