I got lots of stretch marks too after having my baby 8 months ago. They're starting to fade (sort of) after using cocoa butter like a crazy person. I use it morning, noon, and night. I'm only doing this to make myself feel better, not for anybody, not even my husband. A guy should love you for who you are inside, not on the outside, but I totally agree there are so many "perfect" images of girls flashed everywhere, tv, magazines, and it drives me nuts! You can't help but wish you looked liked that. I do, and I ask my husband why he would want me when he can have someone like that, and he tells me he loves me no matter what. I am perfect the way I am. So, if a guy only wants you for your looks, get rid of him, he is a shallow, egotistical jerk, and you don't want that. Try meeting men at church or at the grocery store (which is where I met my hubby). Don't be depressed, the right guy will come along, and you don't need a man to be happy. Find what makes you happy, get out and join a workout class or pottery class. You have to love yourself before anyone else will, it took me a while to learn that lesson, and I'm still learning. Have confidence in yourself, that is the sexiest thing about a woman (according to my husband)!! By the way a 10-12 is not "fat", that is perfect. I was a size 6 before I had my daughter, and 8 months later, I'm still at a size 12 or 14. I still look good though, my hubby likes me curvy, just more of me to love haha! I hope everything goes well for you and stop worrying, you're beautiful!!!

im single, and you sound my type

Dont worry about it, a decent man will not mind! Just relax and enjoy your life , its what you are like that matters!!\A good man will appreciate that!

stretch marks affect us more than people think. the way i feel about my strecth marks is like ive had some bad accident and ive been left scarred for life. ofcourse you'll find someone, just try to be more possitive and confident and stop looking! you'll probably find someone as soon as you stop looking. you'll find someone who loves you for you.

I think you should worry less about stretch marks and more about your confidence. That's what makes good looking people good looking. So, start taking some vitamin E and start standing up straight.

don't worry about it. you will find a man who loves you for who you are. stretch marks are a part of life. I am only 22 years old and have stretch marks. it doesn't mean you fat or anything, it's just from where you have grown. I understand what you mean about the images of skinny women...it drives me mad!

First of all... Go and buy some "Bio-oil". It can be bought in pharmacist/chemist in the UK, and of the internet if you're elsewhere. Use it once a day before you go to bed, rub it wherever you have unwanted stretch marks or scars, and they will gradually fade. (It works, i used it after i had a quite big scar form an operation). Also, the women you see in the magazines are fake, they have been airbrushed and are probably anorexic anyway. I suffer from an eating disorder, (that's what the scar was from), and it's really not good. Most people think that eating disorder sufferers think that being big is disgusting. It's not. When I see a curvy woman my thought is "I wish I could be like her.". And a size 10-12 isn't big, it's under the average size in the UK, which is a size 14.

If you wanted a firmer tummy, toning would do it. But please don't tip this while working out over the edge, you'll regret is so bad. Pamper youreself, and get out clubbing or pubbing, whichever you prefer. Socialise, you will have guys crawling for you. Also, make sure you make "me time". It will boost your confidence, make a bubble bath, put a face mask on, light some candles and get a glass of wine.

Hope this helps, best of luck.

Self-confidence is so much more sexy than a tight body. A decent man will love you for who you are, the entire package, which includes a sense of humour, intelligence, and so many other things, including the stretch marks! Work on the self-confidence, and good things will come to you.

bio oil is good for stretch marks i use it as mine are pretty bad too, as for flabby tums if you find a good man he will love it just because it belongs to you. but if you really want rid of it ask your local gym for advise on which exercises could help

Size 10- 12? you have absolutly nothing to worry about as long as your healthy, than it is absolutly fine, everyone has a bit of unwanted flubber round their middle. i sure do, i just can't get motivated to do a load of sit ups every night!

oh and on your stretch marks why not pretend they were from a surfing/ shark accident! would be way more fun to explain....

or you could use 'bio oil' its quite expensive but works wonders.

Bio Oil is the best. It really does work - how, I don't know but it's really good for scarring and stretch marks and they do disappear but it takes a while. It's a bit expensive but you only need to use it sparingly twice a day. You can get it from some supermarkets, from most chemists and if you live in UK you can buy it from Boots and Superdrug. If you write to them they may send you a sample to try and let you know where your nearest stockist is, The address to write to is:
Bio Oil. Keyline Brands Limited. P O Box 232, Middlesex. UB2 4TA. In UK.
