Accutane question...?!
Question: i just took my first dose of accutane today...april 3rd. i only get a 30 day supply so i will run out may 3rd, my dermatologist didnt make my next appt til may 6th, assuming i refill that day i will still miss 2 days, is this normal? can you miss a few days in between prescriptions?

Yes, you can, but don't make it a regular thing.
I am a former accutane user and let me tell you, it is the best thing that you can do for your acne. Not only does it go away but it never comes back once you are off the pill!
ADVICE! Stay serious about keeping your lips moist. They will dry up really fast and you will be miserable. If nothing else, work hard at that.
Also, oxy pads 3 times a day (whenever you get the chance and your face feels a little dirty). With multiple uses a day, you will notice a big difference in only a few days.
I've tried everything and had really bad acne and now I'm perfect off of those two things.

Yeah, if you miss a couple of days it'll be fine, as long as you don't go out and roll in the mud and not shower, it'll be good.
Yes you can but if you are worried that you might breakout of that the medicine will take a week to work again. Then what you can do is call the doctors office in the morning and ask to see if they can call your pharmacy to refill your prescription before your next appointment. They can fax or call the pharmacy that you go to and give them a prescription for the medication and a PA approval. Wish u luck.
