I know its there I can feel it sometimes in her but considering the situation I real don't give a crap at the time.

We had that problem for the first month or so. It didn't really hurt him or anything, but it really did get his attention. After a short time (a few weeks or so) the strings soften up and wind around the cervix. I found that it helped when I pushed them up there manually beforehand. After those few weeks, it wasn't a problem anymore.

IUD are placed in your uterus. Your cervix blocks the opening from the uterus to the vagina, unless your dialated. You nor your partner should not feel anything.
i had mine taken out 11 days ago. my fiance said something about it 50% of the time. he could feel it and it would make me insecure. you can have your doc cut the strings to make them shorter so he won't feel it. this especially happens if your partner is "large". another reason i had mine taken out is i gained 30 lbs in 2 years....my doc said it don't alter your weight.....but i am proof that it did.
In the beginning I noticed it more than he did. My gyn left the strings to long and they would poke me. I did not have to reach in to feel them they were so long they came out just a little bit. We tried pushing the strings in but he did notice and was not thrilled. We had to go back and get the strings shortened he still had trouble getting used to it and went so far as to use condoms to keep it from happening. We decided to go with a different form of bc.
