Is shaving underarms in china considered bad?!

Question: My mom grew up in China- I want to ask her to let me shave but I recently read somewhere that traditionally shaving underarms is considered bad in China or something...the people who shave are frowned upon- is this true?
(ps: i know it's not like this in china anymore, but still. my mom grew up in china decades ago)

Maybe its just your mother's own oponion about shaving underarms.I dont think China traditonally have rules about women's underarm.What you read might be the body and hair are from parents and should be treated seriously.Thats all about man.In ancient china ,theres no chance to expose body for a woman.
In my experience ,many women in China shaved underarms
