Period problems please help?!

Question: Okay so last month I had a odd period and asked on here if anyone had any ideas of what the problem was. The response I got was that the blood probably was just clotting... nothing too serious. Okay well now I'm a week late. It's not that weird for me to be a few days late but now I'm starting to worry. Usually I can feel that my period is coming soon and it doesn't seem to be coming. I took a pregnancy test but it came out negative. I've been feeling kind of sick nothing too bad but my throat hurts today and my stomach is acting weird. My stomach has been feeling kind of nausea but I feel okay now.

Okay so long story short I had a weird period last month now I'm late. I've never missed a period before so I don't think that's much of an option. I'm very confused and scared. I don't know if I'm pregnant or have some serious problems going on or simply nothing.

I don't have health insurance so any information that you think would help me would be great.

It's not unusual to have heavier or lighter periods than normal. It's also not unusual to skip a month or two now and then. The home pregnancy test you took was negative...usually the urine test can pick up a pregnancy one to two weeks after a missed period.

Your sore throat, queasiness and nausea could simply be the flu that has nothing to do with your period.

Look in the yellow pages for the local free clinic. They will be able to tell you what your next step should be. I would simply wait a week and if your period still hasn't arrived, take another home pregnancy test and go from there. Good luck.

I miss my period now in days but it sounds really serious in your case so I think you should visit the doctor asap you might have an infection

try and call a close friend/neighbor that has a child and ask them if they know a doctor that you can see.

Could be pregnant! Give it a few more days and do a pregnancy test again! If not it could be stress!!

Awe! Don't you just hate that time of the month?
It's so stressful!
But I don't think that you have to worry too much.
Now again I skip my period and then it'll be irregular for a couple months and then it gets right back on track.
I don't think you have anything to worry about :0)

Sexually active?

Age?

Birth control?

You could be pregnant.

omg if you have been having unprotected sex and arent on the pill then the there is a possibility that you are pregnant. plus the symptoms you have sound kind of pregnant-ish lol. you should take another pregnancy test.

go to a clinic

hey, don't worry if i had a pound for every period that was late I'd be a millionaire I'm sure. all sorts of strange and weird things are constantly changing in our bodies as we grow and mature, but obviously you have concern to worry about possible pregnancy as you've done a test already....but worry will delay a period for sure..
try not too ;)

My best advice is to get on the birth control pill. The birth control pill will lighten and shorten your periods and you will get them at the same time every month...give or take a day.
No one's period is the same every month....and the birth control pill will let you rest assured that you aren't pregnant...and that your period is just a little different this month.

Since you don't have insurance, I HIGHLY reccomend visiting a Planned Parenthood. Call first, and make an appointment, they get pretty busy in there. Tell them that you want to take a pregnancy test and start the birth control pill. When you go in to fill out paperwork before your appointment, just tell them that you don't have a job and don't have insurance.

A doctor will tell you all about the different birth control pills and help you pick one thats right for you.

Good luck, and call them as soon as possible!

Do you use tampons? Do you have feverish symptoms? I'd definitely go to the doctor, health insurance or not. It's possible you have Toxic shock syndrome if you do use tampons.
