Most girls start to menstruate between ages 10 and 15 years. The average age is 12, but every girl's body has its own schedule. Although there's no one right age for a girl to get her period, there are some clues that menstruation will start soon. Typically, a girl gets her period about 2 years after her breasts start to develop. Another sign is vaginal discharge fluid (sort of like mucus) that a girl might see or feel on her underwear. This discharge usually begins about 6 months to a year before a girl gets her first period.

just talk 2 a doctor, u mite just start everything l8, which is fine!

Yes its very normal. Geesh I wish I didn't start mine till I was 14, I got mine at 11! Don't worry about it, 14 is the normal age for you to start.

everybody's different! if you're really worried talk to your mum or a doctor but there are a lot of people start late. think of it as a good thing anyway! - their not the most pleasant of things.

watch gingersnaps!

its your own body and you will start to have your periods when your body decides. believe me it aint that great anyways.

I'm 14 too, and i know nearly everyone says it, but it's not something to look forward to. Enjoy it while you can! Are you underweight, as this can affect it?

Yes, it's normal. As you said yourself, it only becomes a problem around 16. Some people just start before others and there's nothing you can do to change that. Having a period isn't that great...really.

as long as you have the signs your okay.
but if you dont have discharge, a little growth in your boobs, or pubic hair, ect, i would contact your doctor or talk to you mom.

im 15 and i just got mine if you dont get it my the time your 16 i would see a doctor

its normal. everyone starts at a different time. you don't "have till your 16". some people start after they turn 16. you'll get it, don't worry.

girl don't rush it because when it do come you going to wanna not have it anymore

There is no need to be concerned, I didn't start mine until I was 17..............my mother was 12, her mother was 17.........

In the genes.................

Normal.......................you will have your period for a long time, don't worry about it.........sooner or later it will start....

it is perfectly normal. Women start at different times just as they stop at different times. You're fine. There's not set time to get your period. If you experiencing any symptoms of discomfort you might consider speaking to a healthcare provider.

The puberty and the menstrual cycle are genetically and hormonally determined and different girls can have different development. It is very personal and pre-menstruation "signals" can come 2-3 months or 11-12 months in advance. It depends how sensitive are you and how fast your hormones will jump up. Just don't be stressed because stress itself could make a delay.
In general cycles can start in age 10-17.

It is strongly recommended to consult your doctor for professional advice. Above mentioned information and recommendations are just general and should be adapted to each person according to personal health indicators and status.

don't worry it is perfectly normal, just give it time, ask any woman, the period is not a good thing to have, so enjoy your period free life while it lasts, now if you where like 20 you could consult a MD

yes, perfectly normal, ask your mom when she started, she may have started at 15, so maybe just one more year

Very normal.
I started mine when I was almost 15.

I know how you feel... when I didn't have it and everybody else did I was like "I want to join the club... I feel so left out. :("
but really... you DONT want it. It's just a pain. :P

You will start soon. There is NO set date on when you HAVE to get it... if you're 16 and still don't have it, then you may want to talk to your doctor.. but I'm sure you are just maturing slower then everybody else, which isn't a big deal. I'm 16 now and my one friend STILL doesn't have hers.. so don't worry about it. :]

you're fine, i didn't start till i was 14 and 1/2. One of my friends didn't start till she was 15. I know you want to feel 'normal' but periods are such hassles.

you should of got it at 9,10,11,12 that age first you get you growth sperth then a period.
