It's possible that your use of pads is not hygienic enough, whether you're extra sensitive to that, or if you're not changing them often enough and allowing bacteria to build up, you could be developing minor urinary tract infections when you use them, which would cause a burning sensation when you urinate.

To test if you're allergic to the pads you're using, first see if you're using a scented pad; if you are, try an unscented pad, as scent is the thing that most people are most commonly allergic to. If that's not it, try to go to a whole foods store like wild oats and try an organic, all natural pad that is made from different materials than regular pads; if you experience the same symptoms with the organic pad, you are probably just leaving them on too long and letting yourself get infections.

Try tampons?

with pads, you're basically sitting in your own period mess....i personally think that's a little unsanitary.
and it might be irritating your vagina.
switch to tampons..if that doesn't work then see a doctor.

what's the question? if ur allergic to pads? Just switch to tampons! DUH!

ok simple answer use a tampon!

If it is painful when you pee, you probably either have a bladder infection, or some other bacterial infection. Go to your doctor, you want to get it checked out. It is totally possible that you could be sensitive to whatever type of feminine product you are using, and ask your doctor what alternatives you could use. Also, if you are sexually active could be a factor as well.

If you think you are allergic to the pad, you should try another type of pad. You should try drinking more water during that time of the month as well that may help. Maybe change your pad more often, that may also help. Is that the only time you have that problem? It could also be a urinary track infection, if it is , there is over the counter medication you can now take for that, but see a doctor first and drink plenty of water. I know it may hurt, but the more water you drink, the more it flushes out your system. Go to google and type in urinary track infection and see what the symptoms are, and menstruation as well, and see what comes up. Hope you feel better

there are a lot of chemicals used in making most pads and tampons...so switching to tampons won't help in fact it can make it worse by causing bacterial infections. the best answers are
1. use a menstrual cup like the devacup
2. use cloth pads
3 use natural disposable pads or tampons
you can buy all of these on line
for disposable pads and tampons go to
http://www.natracare.com/products/femini...
for the other 2 try
www.lunapads.com

some benifits and draw backs of each are:
menstrual cups are small and reusable but some what messy because you have to wash the cup out and take it out plus it goes inside of you.
cloth pads have to be washed and you don't throw them away so you have to have a little bag to keep your sailed pads in.
both of these options are better on the environment.
disposable natural pads are just like normal pads but you have to by them online or at specific stores. i think target has them. they are also more biodegradable because their natural.
